I bring it up as a cautious reminder as a friend and nothing else. That was damn scary .
New to me. What is this plug for?

Thanks for the info. I saw that plug on mine but haven't had a chance to research it.

something was telling me to just let it go this week. It will be there when I get back from Vacation this next week. Was putting gas in the weed eater and started to see Yellow Jackets swarming around me. Got up slowly and just walked back to the garage.
(1) no need to cut grass today
(2) next LE color will be Yellow with smooth stripe panels. -
Sorry to revive an old thread. I’ve got the same plug on mine. Just ordered the battery tender jr. Do I need anything else or can I just plug it into that port?

Plug into the port. Just be sure to remove before driving off. I took half the stuff off the wall in my garage in my excitement to be behind the wheel again.

I checked to make sure I hadn't already said this, but....
That is NOT what I thought this thread was going to about (based on the title)!

Most dealers routinely install them....probably for two reasons
#1....it's an up sell item...
#2 ....they recommend keeping the battery topped off when parked.....I know my alarm will put a drain on the battery and I not sure if anything else will....
