I swear by this use it in addition to new rubber bumpers. It helps to avoid scratches and vibrations.

So the new bumpers will or will not work with a MadStad?

as promised- Install instructions that come with the hood pads. Please note- Page 1 REF 1 is tall bumpers, REF 2 is for shorties

I've had no issues with the madstad and the new bumper. Maybe I lucked out.

Thank you for posting the instructions.
All I know is with the tall ones in the back my hood was about 3/8 of an inch above the dash. Maybe they will compress a little as suggested. -
Maybe they will comress a lititle as suggested.
I am doing the wait and see, as well...... I am having to push on the corners, after closing the hood, but they just went on last nite........ I will give it a few weeks- if not improved, I think I will shorten them.

I am interested to seeing a picture of how you mounted the front bumpers with the Madstad without drilling the bumper or failing to mount the Madstad where intended. Seems pretty impossible to me.

ask and you shall receive. As you can see from the very last picture- where the small fender bumper hits the old metal bracket that used to hold to "removable" hood pads.

What @NatomasSlingshot1 did is what I did. No issues.

I have a Madstad. How did you do that? Two of the bumpers are supposed to be mounted where there are screws to hold in the windshield. Dealer said he had no idea how to mount them there.

I did it with Madstad.
You shave about 1/8 inch of the bottom of the bumper off along with the nub.
Drill a hole through the center with a drill bit the same diameter as the Madstad mounting screw.
Find a drill bit the diameter of the screw head, drill about 1/4 inch down from the top of bumper. This allows the screw head to be counter sunk.
Now put it on your Sling where it originally was.

What did you do for adhesive after you shaved the bottom off?
Thanks

The Madstad Screw holds it down.

I actually didn't have to even do that much...the bumper essentially replaced the madstad screws. It holds it in place. Just had to push like hell and rotate the bumper a bit. it squeezed right through and holds everything in just fine.
