Great news - we are working to to get as many experienced drivers as possible to these events. I have one end goal and that is to have a regular racing circuit of 3-4 races per year exclusively for Slingshots.
First we need to get enough people interested
Second we need to set up some training
Third we need a set of rules and safety equipment
The track days are a great way to build momentum to the end game.
I'll definitely be interested for next year as long as our development does not go in a different direction. I'm always down to have an experienced ride along for coaching on specific tracks. You can always learn more. As for safety equipment, I'm running a MOMO Supercup seat, a stronger roll bar which is being turned into a full cage, and a 6pt harness. Probably overkill for a track setup but God forbid the worst case scenario plays out on the back half of a 1/2mi where speeds are 140+ I'd like a chance at walking away from it.
