I really wanted this to happen, but it's rather obvious at this point in time that it will never be. I'm just glad I didn't spend that money on a deposit that I was considering. It paid for my shocks!
I would say the problematic engine should have been killed off a long time ago and a shift made to an all electric version. That might be all that could save it. Sense they started the electric option has become a valid alternative. I'm even excepting it in the vehicles I purchase. I'm still a gear head and need power and performance (range) but have become very excited with what Porsche has been doing. So much so that we made the leap to a plug in hybrid this year. It's a three year old used E-Hybrid with very low miles. The lease turn in market has driven used car prices way down and we got one hell of a deal. Insurance is another matter all together... we average about 45-50mpg with over 430hp on tap. Best of both worlds.
