I love mine, works great and well worth the money, great deal
Me agree!

@Ruptured Duck this may have already been asked and answered, but does the assist work with your extended hinge kit?
I don't have either. I'm looking at and considering both, with the extended hinges being the higher priority.
Well.... I have in development extenders that do not effect hood alignment, work with my lift assist and allow for two position setting. That plan is to also be well under $200 when released. The hood tilt is as great and possible further than what's out today.
Here is the hood to front wing gap after installation with the assist installed.
So is the assist needed with your extenders? Or does the extension kit come with the assist at under $200?

@MiM it will not require the lift assist. I honestly cannot answer the final cost (retail) with or without the assist at this time. The plan will be for the extensions to be priced very competitive. My cost issue for the hood assists is the struts themselves.

Maybe this is just me but I thought that I would just throw it out there where since we have installed the hood lift, when closing the hood all the latches have caught without failure. I could attribute this to the assist forcing the hood to close in an attitude that is more "flat"?
Will go with that...
I think it's also attributed to the speed that it closes as well. A latch doesn't need to be slammed for it to function correctly. It's possible that dropping without an assist might cause a momentary bounce that causes some latches to not engage correctly.
Cant wait to get mine and install it. Hopefully the hole that needs to be drilled won't be too hard, I am not a total cluts but do worry about drilling my new toy.

follow the instructions and you will be fine. If you have a punch to dimple your starting hole that helps a lot. The smaller pilot hole is always the key to a good clean drilled hole off a press.
You can call or text at anytime if you run into issues. I'll pm it to you.
The weather delayed the shipping by one day. No Rain, sleet, snow or dark of night my butt USPS.
how does it hold up to speeding?

I'm guessing if the hood is latched properly, it's a non-issue.
It is illegal to speed, TONEBLAK
