what size and thread count is the hole on the winshield brace

Did a search but could not find the size and thread count on the hole in the center brace for the windshield. I want to make a GPS mount. I have everything I need but the bolt to mount it to the center brace. Thanks

Ok M6X1.0 but can go 1/4 by tapping it. Thanks. Now to see what is at Menards in Stainless and I will have my GPS mount done. Only thing left is for me to get it to dealer for the 4 recalls and a ECU flash to fix the knotch or hump at the 12:00 position on the steering wheel. Warranty runs out on 11/13/17. A shame since there is only about a 1000 miles on her right now. Not my fault just got her and got 160 on her then the wx turned to crap.

Rods Ride On in Lacrosse ordered the parts and they are in. Just have to tough out the cold wx and get it down there. Should be able to do that midweek. Thank you for the help. Looking forward to meeting you in person.

will do. I know their SS tech did no have any returns on the swingarm recall because he caught the fact that there were no plugs in the new swingarms and he used the ones from the old swingarm. I know it isn't much but at least he had some common sense. Fingers crossed that he will be good. Will let you know

Where are you located?

I am in Winona, Mn. A great place to ride. On the motorcycle I usually headed up river in the Wi. side or down river to Prairie Du chien (sp)on Ia. side then back up the Wi side. Love riding in this area and cant wait to get the SS on theses roads. Some very nice twisties back in the bluffs on both sides.

@Tripod thanks for the suggestion, found one this morning at the local building supply store for $12.95 that looks very close to the unit you are showing. Picked it up with the parts to make my GPS mount. I really appreciate everyone's help. Great people here.
