I have found that dryer sheets and water will clean bugs off windshield and front of sling plus won't scratch body.

Huh, who'da thunk it? Nice tip!
I believe it was our lady @Guardian_Angel who also posted up this tip...
Foolish me. I thought to clean bugs you needed someone to hold their wings for you

To smell moth balls you have to hold their little legs apart...
And, of course...
What's the last thing to go through a bug's mind when he hits your windshield?
His ass!

Im not sure I can take the credit for that one, but my memory escapes me most of the time..
NEWSPAPER... cleaning clothes leave fibers, paper towels leave white fuzzies.....
Little less than half gallon Warm water, with one to three drops of dish soap mixed together, and wash with newspaper. No fuzzies, fibers, or smears.
Now for the front grill area....
Soak a large shop towel (you know, the ratty ones that got kicked out of the bathroom closet and into the trash, and your husband pulled it out and stashed it with car cleaning supplies in garage..) in hot water, and lay it across your front buggy bumper... let it set there.. its kinda like soaking the left over bits of over easy egg off the dishes.. same effect. The hot soak softens those hardened guts right up. Elbow grease need not to be applied..
...or you could drive it until you run into an unexpected rain shower. Bug bling completely disappears once you become soaked. Useful information right here.
You all will likely think I'm nuts.... but you probably did anyway so here goes! I keep my Slingshot with a fresh coat of Dual Polymer on it 2-3 times a year. It's a spray on, and works on both the paint and the textured black panels. Leaves a nice shine on all parts, even works on tires. That said, the only thing I use to clean up the SS is hot water, as hot as I can stand to put my hand in, with a microfiber towel. Bugs, dirt, crud all come right off and then I use the blower to get off the excess water. I use two of the small microfiber towels to dry it, one I get the most of the water off with (just keep wringing it out) and the other to get it dry. I've done it this way with the bikes for years.
Hydrogen Peroxide makes them soft take a wet towel and wipe them off. I have used it for years on my bikes and windshields.

Be aware that H2O2 will not harm your paint, HOWEVER, it will break down any wax or protectant you are using...
This works great for removing bugs,...
does a decent job on paint removal too,...
two birds with one stone!
