Ahhhh, Harley Davidson, a T-shirt and chaps company that sells motorcycles.
I can't own a HD because I'm not fat, with a white goatee and a leather vest full of patches.

Got the letter, but have the plugs in and my dealer put in a screw for me when they did the recall. I have a good service department.
Me and my shadow
Cool idea for a thread! Saw one under a cover today at around Dares Beach, MD. Red SL maybe?
The short answer is the NHSTA has given the Jeep its seal of approval and the Sling it has not. That is not to say, in theory, you will be any safer in a Jeep rollover than a Sling rollover. Hope that explains it a little
Yeah, I understand that and you're right, who knows what happens in a crash, but governmental seals of approval are often purchased through the power of lobbying. Personally, probably good the NTSB and NHSTA haven't taken closer looks at the sling, more regulations would hurt the fun factor, most likely. Safety is as safety does, everything is inherently dangerous in some form.
I carry one to get out of a potential "stop ride" if I get stopped by a LEO, but don't wear it. Can't see the benefit if I'm wearing a seatbelt, but that's my opinion and preference. I am aware of what the law says and am willing to take responsibility for my actions if the time comes.
My reasoning is that if a Jeep with all doors and top removed doesn't require a helmet by law, how much difference is there, theoretically and lawfully, with a Sling?
For those states that reclassify, two questions:
1. If you had to wear helmet as motorcycle, do you now?
2. If you were authorized in the HOV lane as motorcycle, are you now?
In Maryland, it has always been classified as an autocycle, we have motorcycle tags but no motorcycle license. And we are "supposed" to wear helmets. And, authorized in HOV, and in nearby VA, allowed in EZPass "hot" lanes at no charge.
Are you positive? +
These posts keep me grounded...
Hey Guys - I know that there are a few videos online of how to disassemble the back end of a slingshot but can someone tell me how much has to be disassembled to install the Hoop LEDs from TrickLED? They only reference the videos on how to completely disassemble. I want to know what I will be getting myself in to if I decide to do this on my own.
Glad you asked that, I've been thinking about those.
Yep, but I still see plenty of cross posts. I'm done with them, deleting the bookmark and never looking back. It's a new day, Jerry, the summer of George.
We were out in the Shenandoah area yesterday, everytime we stopped, everyone talked to us. Little kids wanted pictures (obliged of course) ladies, older biker dudes, families, employees, you name it. I'm pretty outgoing, but have a hard time engaging strangers (if that makes sense), so the Slingshot helps me as much as it brings excitement and happy to everyone else.
It's cool for sure.
I figured it out....
It's an Afro rake on crack.....all the teeth fell out....

Welcome, and that sucks about being hit. I, too, used to be on the "other" site more, but got tired of being told to constantly use the search feature.
More of a family and friends atmosphere over here, and fun. And isn't that what the SS is all about?
Huh, who'da thunk it? Nice tip!
Is this Bill&Justina, lol
Nah, they are all about Polaris are gods, the SS is perfect, keep everything factory, don't question authority.
Noooo, this site's search feature works great! I meant the other site. And I have gotten NO attitude here from anyone! Everyone is very helpful. On the OTHER site, if you ask a question, someone (can't remember who) always replies with a "use the search function, ever heard of it?" type attitude.
This forum's format is hard for me to read, nothing wrong with it, just my preference.
And this site is more fun, even when some of the threads get way off track.
I'll put this out here. I use both sites. The other site is formatted a bit easier for me to read (for some weird reason that is me, not this site) but I've been turned off lately when I ask a question, I get some 'attitude' because I didn't use the search feature. Well, if I'm smart enough to post in a forum, pretty sure I'm smart enough to search. But the search is goofy, so I just ask over here and get treated pretty well.
And as far as I can tell, "Bill & Justina" don't hang out here, so that keeps my stress level down! LOL
Wow, that's nice. Looks like someone has a future business.
