Has anyone bought those cheap led strip for running lights and turn signals? If so how did you do the wiring? The right side is my turn signal wires from the harness, left side is the LED.

Mine weren't DIY, went with this harness. That said it's pulling power/ground/signal from the blinker and before these harnesses, I saw folks using those wire taps to get to those three wires. Yellow was the signal, so think it's same OEM and just need to figure out +/- etc... Hopefully someone here has some more info for you!

I believe factory wiring is as follows:
Black – Ground
Dark Blue/Red trace – Turn signal
Dark Green/Pink trace – Marker lamp
Some aftermarket chasing style led strips don’t play nice with the 4-way flashers. If you run into that problem, the addition of a 200 ohm resistor in line to the turn signal portion of the led strip usually does the trick.

Get the harness call it a day.....it surely makes life easy

The harness makes it very easy. One harness will handle both sets, but you'll need blinker modules for each. That is if you ordered both.

I used the Slingmods Harness too. Easy. Yellow to Yellow, Red to Red, and then Black to White in my case.
Best part is that the connectors are "Lever Locks" (came with 2-way instead of 5) which makes it very easy to disconnect when needed. I took off my front end this week and only had to lift the lever.
The upper and lower brow lights form Amazon are DRLs (white) and Sequential blinkers (orange). 2 sets for $40 total

Finally got it done, wired it right to the turn signal.

I fired up an old youtube account for this reason. Upload them then link to here was easier then trying to figure out video

Do the 4-way flashers work with the key off?
If so, please share a link to the strips you used.
It seems to be a hit or miss if a load resistor is needed.

Interesting, never tried that before. Using the harnesses. Mine flick once when switch is flipped, but don't blink. Flip off/on and they will blink once again. Key on, blink like normal.

a 200 ohm 2 watt resistor in series with the yellow wire will likely cure that.

Do the flashers usually work with key off, I would imagine but mine don’t now.
Did I blow a fuse trying it? -
Look that the post above yours the resistor is likely needed.

There is no industry standard with these lower cost white / amber chase strips so, you may need to use a different size resistor. Mine works fine with a 220ohm (5 watt) in series with the yellow wire. Different brand strips may require a 470 or 680 ohm.
Resistors are cheap. I think I paid around $10 for an assorted pack on Amazon.
Polaris wiring diagram doesn't appear to change the flasher power source with the key so, it has to be a function of the strip that changes the yellow input to a low impedance input when no power is on the red wire. Since the schematics for these strips are not available, I can't really pinpoint what is going on.

Figured, I just put al the wiring back together and wrapped really nice
-
ok, I’m little retarted with this stuff 🤦🏼♂️. What’s the difference between these 2 resisters and will they work? Also I tie them in to the yellow wire?

Your trying to post a .mov and it's not a supported file type for this forum. If you look at these they are all picture formats and not video. So it's not you, just the way the forum is setup. If you post on a youtube account, can link to here and they automatically pop.

I don't know how to post a video but you must post to 'u-tube' first.
