Start checking fuses
Assistance needed in Ellenton FL

Not if that fuse is blown like mine is. Separate issue from the start circuit. Mine went out in the rain one day. Do the headlights come on with the key?
I I would think the hazard lights would work though
-
No no headlights, no dash lights. The gauges don't even light up to show mileage or anyting
-
All the fuses look okay that are in front of the driver underneath the hood
-
You'll need a T-40 torq to remove the cover for the battery, it's at the left rear corner down at the bottom.
-
As Bigdog said earlier, there is a 40a fuse there as well.
-
Okay okay I just found out that another family member is aware have a kill switch in it but I do not know where it is located
-
Feel around under the dash
-
I'veI've tried everything for a kill switch from putting it in different gears I feeled around, I searched around and I cannot seem to find anything
-
Slingshotonly, is in Sarasota few miles south. Heck they might have put the switch in, possible?
-
He he has a receipt from mad marks but it doesn't say anything about a kill switch that I can tell
-
I I would still really appreciate someone who knows the slingshot to come and take a look at it see if we can put our heads together and figure it out
-
Sorry but your a long ways from Canada lol. Feel around under the steering column. Even check in the glove box for a switch. I would guess its within reach of the driver seat. Look with a flashlight under the dash area and look for something out of place that might be a switch for disabling the power.

Really appreciate you all trying to assist! THANK YOU

hey guys where would a kill switch be Wired from? Maybe Rick can find the wire and trace it
-
I would think the ignition would be the best way, but the way it's lighting up the starter switch, but nothing else, to me is odd, but I haven't looked at the wiring on the ignition switch either.
From the wiring schematic, it has 4 wires, maybe tracing any of those might show if something was added, would have to pull the bottom of the steering column (2 screws on bottom).
-
I'll give that a try, thank you.
(I don't like wiring... lol)

If somebody posted this - forgive me - are you turning the ignition key all the way and trying to start it ?? Only turn key to first position if you are not - I made that mistake WAY a long time ago - other than that - I got nuthin
