I just Googled for group 24 battery and got a bunch of hits with batteries staring as low as around $100, delivered. I also checked Rural King's website and it looks like their batteries are now only available for in-store pickup.

I think I've settled on a Bosch AGM 24 at pepboys, but their website is horrible. It makes you pick a vehicle in order to see batteries, and even using google and finding the link, it won't let me add it to cart, sigh. I'll call them tomorrow and see if I can get their 25% off somehow that they are advertising. I don't have a pepboys local, but there is one in Dallas and I should be going in a couple of times this next week.

This is just an example picture.....not the right battery...
Can you find a part number to use to put it in the cart?
-
I don’t know why I took this picture or where I found it, but it could be our battery...from Polaris...
-
I can search on their part number on the pepboys website, but it won't let me add to cart. I'll call them, if they can't give me the discount over the phone (web page says it has to be a web order), then I'll continue searching for another battery...

There appears to be quite a number of Batteries Plus stores around Texas, maybe there is one near you?

This is our battery from Polaris
https://atv.polaris.com/en-us/…ntenance-items/4014132-p/
Should be a dealer item.....
According to ebay they say it doesn’t fit a 2015....don’t know how much I trust the ebay info..... that’s a picture of a car battery not a pee pee motorcycle battery. Calling a dealer would clarify the question.... but that sure looks like my battery...
Another search from a polaris parts suppliers says it is correct but it appears the dealers might not be selling them anymore.... could be because they are selling 2019s now and a ‘15 is already 4 yeas old.. they probably want to sell the pee pee batteries because the big battery won’t fit the newer SS since they switched them.
A battery store should be able to cross reference this info to match it with another.
-
Scroll down look what this battery fits...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polar…2-P-New-OEM-/232910943138
They put a pee pee battery in the new slingshots that have car engines and still use a manly battery in the Polaris ranger.... so this could/should be a dealer item...
-
Bigdog, if you will check the part number for the 2015 battery, and then check the part number for the 2016, and subsequent, battery, I believe you can answer your own question?

When Polaris offered the engine airflow management kits back in the early days,
Model Year 2015 Engine Airflow Management Kit - Part number 2206369
Model Year 2016 Engine Airflow Management Kit - Part number 2206370(A search of these part numbers seem to portray that neither are currently available from Polaris?)
The kit for the 2015 supplied a new smaller battery, what did Polaris do to mount that smaller battery to the existing battery mounting plate?
Wait a minute, by golly here seems to be a kit that is still available on ebay?
https://www.amazon.com/GENUINE…automotive&sr=1-1-catcorr
If that is an original kit, that battery must be going on four years old now?
And here appears to be a Model Year 2016 Engine Airflow Management Kit - Part number 2206370: https://www.amazon.com/Polaris…automotive&sr=1-1-catcorr

The 24? Isn't it 9 inches tall? The stock 26 in a 15 is 7.75. Is there clearance?

What exactly was the air flow kit supposed to do and where did it mount and why would they include a small battery when the engine is up front?
-
If you have the welter duel exhaust installed and you upgrade to the big battery remember to get the battery insulation kit.

I just found this info for buying batteries..... I want to make sure I’m getting a fresh one and not one that’s ready to die....

Ok several questions......about that...why the tiny battery in that picture?
Isn’t it better for cooling the motor to have the air continue to blow past and around it?
I get the idea to keep the passenger side cool but at the expense of possibly hurting the motor? Causing it to run hotter which in turn could add more heat in the engine compartment to bleed into the cockpit. Excessive heat kills motors....

Talked with Pepboys, the store I called said they couldn't order that battery, but gave me another store in the area that has them in stock : https://www.pepboys.com/bosch-…p-size-24/product/844459/
He didn't have an answer as to why I couldn't place the order online. When asked about the discount, he said it's discretionary for the store, and he'd do it if it were him.
Hopefully I'll have time on Tuesday to go by and get one

Thanks for that info, learned something new today.

I was thinking the 2015 battery was a Group 24, but I may incorrectly dismembered it. Please double-check battery sizes/fitment before ordering.
the Rural King Group 34 AGM battery I have is - 10-1.4" Long, 6-1/2" Wide/Deep and 7-7/8" Tall to top of Electrode posts.
Here's a link to Battery Group Dimensions on JEGS - https://www.jegs.com/Sizecharts/bcigroup.html for easy checking if a battery will fit.
From the chart -
Group # Length Width Height
24 10-1/4 6-13/16 8-7/8
26 8-3/16 6-13/16 7-3/4
34 10-1/4 6-13/16 7-7/8
Keep in mind that Welter performance Dual owners have posted that group 34 batteries may touch up against a the trans tunnel exhaust pipe and recommend Group 26 batteries for clearance, IIRC.

The stock 2016 battery is a Group 26. The Group 34 or the Group 25 both should be pulled all the way to the outside cover before you tighten them down. I have already said this about 25 times. I melted a hole all the way across the bottom of an Optima Group 25. By the way I did not do the install a friend did.
