@Cameron Roberts If you ever need any help just let me know and I'll roll out there. Gives me an excuse to ride and help another brother out.

The first picture I am not sure about. It appears to be the harness for the factory stereo. The second picture looks like your factory antenna. I did not have that with the base model, but you'll want to use that on your new head unit. He used a different starting point than I did at the bottom of the aluminum face plate. Which is why he had to cut the middle of the lower dash and push it down. I did have to trim a bit of the splash guard like he shows in the video. But, not nearly that much. The video doesn't show how the splash guard is attached to the dash though.

Used to be an iSlave and now I've converted to being a free droid. So, no face time. I'll shoot you a PM/Conversation with my cell number in case you need it.
Amp on driver side as it is easier access to the battery for amp power connections.

Next you can find this plug in your dash area for your stereo power connections:
12v (tan/yellow), ignition (black/pink), and ground (black)You can go the extra step to purchase the factory connector, pins, and seals to have a nice factory harness from the below websites or you can contact me and I can build you one:
http://www.delcity.net/
https://www.waytekwire.com/The remainder of the wiring will depend on which model Slingshot you are starting with and what model head unit you are installing. Happy to assist in that as well if needed.
Now just put everything back together and enjoy your install:
Are these actually active in the base model? I checked the fuse box and I have a 25 amp fuse for "Radio/Accessory".
-
Yes, they are active. This would also be plugged in to the factory stereos of the SL and LE models.

Great thread !

Holy crap...$150-$170 for the splash guard? I only spent $180 for my Kenwood Double Din. It was on sale but still. Might be the first time I actually complained about the price of a product. Most single DIN covers are under $25.
-
Yes, it looks like one or maybe two manufacturers make it. So.....they are being dicks about the price. That and to top it off it isn't a direct fit.

I was going to make that same point. Once you get it, you have to modify it. Unreal.
-
Now that i have bought it modified it and double modified it ... Its one pain in the ass...

I'm just back to basics, BT, MP3, USB dongle, 30 years ago I was happy with sharing my own dongle! Reception can be improved I'm told...

Here is a picture of how the t-nuts should be mounted. I removed the lower one to show that the splash guard is behind the lower dash.
As you can see one side of the t-nuts will need to be trimmed.
