I left this morning around 2am headed to work. Before I left I packed my suitcase for the trip to Murphy.
Around 6am my wife sent me this picture. Lewis was sitting in my suitcase. He must not want me to go... To bad he can't. He is so much fun to be around...
I can send this guy over on a plane tonight for you. He doesn't require much space.RNJ12

My maine coon baby is near 17lbs.. and I have no make up on so..... yeah I know ..... but look at the size of that cat!
-
He was about 14 weeks old here...

Here is our Cornish Rex, Dewey. Awesome little guy that is the personality of our home. He is about 6 weeks here. I sure love the little guy! He is kind of like a Sphinx cat, only he has some fur. He has his own "kitty cabin" on the couch that is heated and enclosed. Easy for him to get cold in the Iowa winter.

aww... what a cutie! Bet he likes to cuddle too!
-
You sure have him figured out. Defiantly a lap baby. Wife sits with him wrapped in his blanket for hours sometimes.
I have to say, you can see the intelligence in the eyes of your baby. He looks like he is so smart, that he surprises you at times how intelligent he is. -

I'm not a cat person but that one sure is cute as hell.RNJ12

........... he is very smart. It allows him to be extemely rebellious. I have taught him to use the toilet... but it took one very long...long... year. Cats are full of personality. Dogs (i love all animals, so there isn't any dog hating here) will love you regardless, they are your best friend.. cats, require honing much of the same relationship skills as humans.

This is my sometimes co-pilot, Puka. She's a Husky/Corgi mix, so she's a small/medium size Husky (the little heifer weighs 40-45 lbs.) with really short legs. I made a seat for her that straddles the transmission tunnel on the SS and I clip her harness to the passenger seatbelt anchor. Here we are heading out to Bengie's Drive-in movie theater in Middle River, MD. As you can see in the photo, she is actually sitting up, not laying down. Cute a hell, knows how to lay it on thick, and too damn smart for her own good. :o

Yep. She's got about as much ground clearance as the SS.

Here's how we deal with heavy snow...
I lay a 20x20 tarp on the grass, before the snow starts. When the snow stops, I shovel it clear and pull the tarp. It's work, but the ground stays mostly dry (less muddy paws), Puka doesn't have to worry about getting buried alive, and I don't have to rescue any one because their paws got too cold to make it back to the door. -

I cleared it late at night, so many of my neighbors had no idea what I had done. They were quite mystified when they woke up the next morning and found my yard, and the deck above it, conspicuously devoid of any snow. Since I used a power broom (electric snow thrower on a stick) it threw the powder pretty far out and blowing wind helped disperse it so there were no shoveled piles around the perimeter, just smooth snow right to the edge of the walls. In the daylight, the shovel marks on the wall were nearly invisible, so I posted pictures on Facebook and told folks I forgot to pay my water bill. A couple of folks actually believed it until I let them in on the joke.
