So those that know me know I have a bit of a soft spot for real carbon fiber. Slingmods has come out with new carbon fiber fenders/splash guards. Are the designs so different that you cannot "upgrade" to a 2017+ fender?
16.5 vs 17-18 fender

You mean, put a 2017/18 fender on a 2016.5?

StickerDick answered this question in a different thread:
"believe it or not... the "newer" style mudflaps from Polaris use the same holes except they don't use the top hole and the smaller lower bolt that goes into the chassis tube has a deeper indentation but that should not affect the way they bolt up."

If your saving pennies for new fenders just save them and get rid of the Polaris crap and put on @StickerDick's front fenders. I believe he can make them in carbon fiber too.

Yep, we can do that! The true CF fenders are about double the cost, but they are extra special and they don't weight anything... if you want speed and unique, carbon fiber is it for sure!
