Conservative Politics & Daily Events Discussion

  • Hillary is a SCUM in every way, shape & form. She will be an embarrassment to America! If she wins I will NEVER take my hat off for a national anthem or Respect the RED, WHITE & BLUE because it just represents CORRUPTION & Lies in my eyes

Yes Bones she is SCUM of the earth but with that being said you should blame the people that voted her into office.
Taking your hat off during the national anthem and respecting our flag is a respect that has been earned by this countries history and by the men and woman that have died for this country. If not for those men and woman that gave there lives you perhaps would not be able to post your opinion on this forum. Just my opinion.

And I respect anyone who fought & currently fighting for our country, but what we are becoming is an embarrassment to all and I can Not respect that, My 2 cents-each there own. I was talking to a custodian yesterday who's son is a Seal and he was saying they can not retaliate when one of there own gets slaughtered by a terrorist action. He was telling me his son traines, battled and protects for the US. Seals are a ban of brothers who want to go after the ones that killed there" Brothers",but America forces will not allow them to " make things right" basically he said , His son and his group battle , fight to make things right for America, but America will not let them make things right. Talking to him I can tell it was a touchy conversation as the danger to this job. I have total respect for every, Anyone helping America, But on the same note with a clown/ racist like Obama and anyone who's gunna carry on his legacy I can Not respect that...Not gunna cause a battle, but Till things change for Better, It is what it is.

I can't / won't sugar coat it..Im gunna say things people might not agree with and Im not going to say things I think people want to hear just to say them, freedom of speech. It's how I feel as an American and feel things ARE being taken away and we Are becoming little controlled robots..If It makes me feel better by blocking out the Anthem so be it, I can't pretend nothings wrong and respect things going on with our Leaders, but I can respect the ones battling for our Freedom. I would love to have respect for the "WHOLE COUNTRY" but with whats there now and could possibly be there in the future. I myself can't respect

And for the record when ever I see a soldier in camo somewhere I buy there coffee or egg sandwich, Shake there hand..So I show my respect to them, that's out of the question!

  • don't WANT to vote for her. But, Trump is worse (won't be changing my mind on that anymore than you will change your minds about HRC).

IM sorry , but I disagree, he's the lesser of the 2 evils in my eyes..He's a business man running, she's been involved for years with the country and has a Paper/ email trail a mile long of corruption, lies etc...

  • The Navy intercepted a boatload of people off the Texas coast today. This placed the Navy in an awkward position as the boat was not heading to the USA, but towards Mexico and Central America.

Another surprise finding was the people were white American retirement age seniors. Their claim was that they were trying to get to Central America or Southern Mexico as they wanted to return to the US as illegal immigrants. Then they would be entitled to far more benefits than they were receiving as legitimate American retirees.

It is believed the Navy gave them food, water and fuel and assisted them on their journey. We are booking on the next boat out. Let me know if you want to join us.

I like the list of 13 things that I as a citizen want (Demand). This is why Trump is zooming ahead. He is at least talking about issues that most Americans are concerned about. My mantra about Trump is this: We are usually in agreement with most of what he says but wish someone else was saying it. We are getting older and our tickers aren't what they used to be...so here is Our Special Bucket List for 2015,16... thru 2020.

HERE IS WHAT WE WANT.1. Hillary: in prison and Bernie sent to whatever Communist country that will take him.!2. Put "GOD" back in America!!!3. Borders: Closed!4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else .5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!6. Language: English only!7. Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before & during Welfare!9. Freebies: NONE to Non-Citizens! 10. Budget: Balance the damn thing!11. Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money! Charge them for our help! We need it here.12. Fix the TAX CODE! And most of all. 13. "RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!!" or leave.

    We the people are coming!

I'm trying to find out when the next boat leaves from Florida if there's anyone else who wants to come along

  • My kid had freshman orientation yesterday. (he is the head of the Foreign language dept at a high school.) He gets a 30 page syllabus, 30 minutes before he is supposed to make a presentation to incoming freshman high school boys- basic topic- sexual harassment.
Explains that although an adult, (29), he's been there, done that. Gamer, and on social media. They ask about a couple games, and decide he is pretty cool. He mentions a couple of social sites that the kids are on, but shouldn't be. Gets into the sexting portion- about how they think it is cool, but it is really ruining someone else life- not just their own. So he tells them- "dick pics are not cool"..........
Counselor was there during presentation- afterward, thanked him, and told him how much easier my son made his job........... If admin finds out, they will have a hemorrhage!
(He found out afterwards, the girls presentation was the usual PC, yawn.... turn-off for the kids..... But like he said- maybe h got thru to just a few........
We need more adults to tell it like it is!

    Good kid!!!

  • He's a bitch sellout! He got his Hillary deal. I respected this man, but he's a coward and joined the person he was against & debated against. Hope he drops dead! Desperate people do desperate things and he's the perfect example F-You Bernie Bitch!! Im dying to know his deal, what he was promised if she wins??

    Not to die mysteriously

  • Good kid!!!

thank you- I had to look up some of the social media sites he said the kids were using..... I will probably be seeing NSFW ads running on my regular sites for the next few weeks!
BTW- as he is foreign language, he is freed from the all-encompassing state curriculum stuff. His first 2 weeks in class- note taking skills, students setting their goals for the class, and the class writing a class behavior agreement. Most of the kids like him, but he can be a SOB for the cowards and the shirkers, and has no problem with failing those who deserve it!

  • @Ghostwheel I respect your opinion and do not wish to attempt to change your opinion of Clinton or Trump. This is my question. I think I know why you are turned off by Trump and I get it. Are you comfortable with what Hillary will do with the Supreme Court? I know I sound like a broken record but that is the meat in this election. Can you point out ANYTHING that would lead us to believe that when Clinton was finished we wouldn't have the most left leaning court since the Declaration of Independence? I really think a lot of folks are under the impression that the power lies with the President. I can assure you the Supreme Court can stomp on our individual rights far worse than any President. If you have even the slightest conservative lean and believe in the values and ideals that built this country - watch how quickly all that can disappear with a liberal majority Supreme Court. Life as we know it would quickly come to a screeching, grinding halt!!!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • I am actually more afraid of a Right Leaning court for a very basic reason. I am not a Constitutionalist. I am gonna get crucified for saying it here, but at best, it is an outdated document of a bygone era. They have done their best to keep it updated, but as a governing document, it needs to be replaced. I for one WANT laws to be adjusted to keep up with the times. As for "taking away our liberties" I don't believe a left leaning court has that agenda. I think they interpret the laws with a modern view and get rid of old ideas like completely outlawing abortions, or preventing the LGBT community from marrying. So, I am not frightened of her justice choices. I am actually pissed that the GOP stalled Obama choice, and now it looks like they will pay the price after the election.

  • @Ghostwheel you just made my Christmas list!! Nothing I would rather discuss than the law. Please allow me to retort

So let’s consider just a few of the Supreme Court precedents that would likely be overturned with another liberal justice on the court.
First and foremost, it’s our Second Amendment rights that would fall squarely within the liberals’ sights. The Heller decision, authored by Justice Scalia, recognized, based on the intent of the Framers, that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual constitutional right to gun ownership. In other words, Heller and the individual constitutional rights it guarantees would be turned into a relic. It would be an ornament without any practical limiting effect on government infringements on gun ownership. Once this happens, all bets are off on the right to keep and bear arms.
Next, the First Amendment right of the American people to make their voices heard would be drastically curtailed when the court overturned Citizens United. In fact, as a University of Chicago law school professor said in the New York Times, “Citizens United is on every liberal’s list of opinions that ought to go.”
Freedom of religion protections under the First Amendment wouldn’t be far behind.
Another liberal justice could allow the government to force Americans to comply with laws that violate their deeply held religious beliefs. For example, a new justice could provide the fifth vote to overturn the recent Hobby Lobby decision, which recognized the right of the owners of a closely held corporations to resist laws on religious grounds, such as Obamacare’s contraception mandate.
We all know, of course, that free speech protections are being eroded and diluted in this country. On college campuses across the country, speech isn’t being protected because of the speaker’s viewpoint. Rather than debate openly with opponents, as Scalia always did, too many people today want to shut down debate and muzzle those who disagree with them.
What other rights are at stake in this election?
Incredibly important precedent under the First Amendment’s establishment clause would be at risk. I’m talking about Supreme Court cases allowing prayer at town hall meetings, or permitting low-income parents to receive public school vouchers to defray the cost of a child’s private school, including religious schools.
And of course, while yet another liberal justice would read narrowly the First and Second Amendments that are in the Constitution, he or she would read broadly those “rights” that are not in the Constitution at all. If yet another liberal is nominated to the court, even reasonable restrictions on abortion—enacted into law through the democratic process—would be swept away.
Just a few years ago, the Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial-birth abortion by a 5-4 vote, in a case called Carhart. Partial-birth abortion is the horrific practice that crushes an unborn baby’s skull, killing it while its head is still in the womb. It’s one very small step short of infanticide.
If the American people elect a liberal during this presidential election, and that president nominates another liberal to replace Scalia, we can all expect a constitutional right to abortion on demand, without limitation.
InThere’s more at stake than the results in any particular case, as important as those cases are.
The American people need to consider whether they want their next justice to decide cases based on the text of the Constitution as it was understood at the time it was adopted, or whether Justices are free to update that document according to their own moral and political philosophies.
Should justices apply accepted legal principles through sound reasoning to new facts?
Or should they do legal backflips to reach their desired public policy goals?
This second approach, of course, is not law. Instead, it’s what Scalia memorably called “legalistic argle-bargle” and “jiggery-pokery.”
Scalia knew that the rule of law is a “law of rules.” The rule of law is not “a law of whatever is in the Justice’s ‘heart.’” When a justice believes, as President Obama does, that any time he views the Constitution as unclear, he can apply his own “life experiences” and “empathy” for his or her favorite causes, the justice has a clear incentive to think that the Constitution is unclear.
But a justice isn’t entitled to read those views into the Constitution and impose them on the American people. Our Constitution sets up a republic, not government by judiciary. Unless the Constitution specifically prohibits the democratic process from reflecting the will of the people, the decisions are made by elected individuals who are accountable to the voters.
The Supreme Court plays an important role in keeping the branches of the federal government within their constitutional powers, and in keeping the federal and state governments within their constitutional spheres. And it ensures that the government complies with the Bill of Rights. That’s the basis for its legitimacy. But when the court reads the Constitution in ways that reflect the Justices’ personal policy views, rather than the text, it does not act legitimately. Instead, it denies the people the legal right to govern themselves.
Scalia understood this better than anyone.
The more the Supreme Court reaches out and grabs power it isn’t entitled to hold, the more it legislates from the bench, the more decisions it robs from the American people.
As a direct result, step by step and inch by inch, liberty is lost. And as John Adams observed, “Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”
Since the days of the Warren court, this is what liberal justices have done. Under the guise of constitutional interpretation, they have imposed liberalism on the people. They’ve done it on issues, and in ways, that they couldn’t achieve through the ballot box.
This is the decision facing the American people during this presidential election.
If the American people elect a liberal as their next president, and he or she nominates a like-minded judge to replace Justice Scalia, liberalism will be imposed on the American people to a degree this country has never before witnessed.
Anyone who cares about these important issues should take note.

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it
