Conservative Politics & Daily Events Discussion

  • If he would not have been a socialist he probably would have been the most palatable candidate of the final few. At least he has character

He has none.....He has done nothing for this state. Except raise taxes like you would not believe. Has bad checks in the area that he does not care about. Nothing more then a tree hugging granola. Anti government,...not a bad thing.... anti- cop and anti-military. Still living in the 60's.

  • All a matter of perspective man. I am for building Gvt. I know, I know, it's not a popular view in this venue. But, in my own experience, emergency services, law enforcement and (strangely) the postal service have all actually helped me a LOT. And the money I am now paying in taxes is DWARFED by the tithe I have to give to corporations in the form of "interest & Fees". So, I would rather spend my money on taxes than corporate thievery. Worst case, I am giving my money to an organization that will waste it, and I am throwing it away. Which (IMHO) is better than giving it to the private sector who will use it to find new and create ways to take more of my money without giving me anything in return, other than the use of thier capitiol. I want out of the corporate debt game. At least in the public sector, all votes are equal and the Millionaire next store doesn't have 999,999 more votes than I do.

I suspect there will be reasons posted why I am foolish, and why this view makes no sense. Post away. Doesn't matter. I am who I am, my experiences made me...just like yours made you :)

Toodles. I love it here, but if i don't get back to work, I won't be able to fund the corporate lawyers who are coming up with new and creative ways to screw me out of my earnings :)

I highly resemble that remark :00008040::00008356::00008172:

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • in my military career I lived in in England with an English wife for 14 years. To see how hard her family worked only to taxes of pay 70 pence for every pound earned was sickening. Watching a mother in law wait for a knee replacement for three years because she was not a priority, then seeing both the in laws being told they would only receive "comfort care" in their later years.
Those who think there is a "fix all" with bigger government should try living in a country where you can work 50 to 60 hours a week for 50 years and never gain a better life style.
A bigger government and socialistic ways means a majority of tax payers will never climb out of the hole.
My opinion comes from a living experience not an academic theory.
I respect and value other opinions, just thought I would share mine.

  • I totally agree, as long as it is for good of this country. Oh, by the way, just read the local newspaper and Bernie just bought his 3rd home for $600,000. Wonder if he will share like he wants us to.

Super Pacs are awesome! You bow out of the race and all that money is yours to do with as you will. (sarcasm) ;) Super Pacs are the biggest threat to democracy today.

  • Good one FITS!

  • We may be surprised come November. At least I hope we will be. Trump says some off the wall stuff but the media blows it way out of proportion to paint him in a negative light. Here are a few:
    1) Attacked goldstar mother - well if you understand the role of the Muslim women do you think that was an attack?
    2) Obama was the founder of ISIS. He may not have been the founder but he sure has let it run unchecked!
    3) Hillary had a brain cramp? Need I say more

So to be fair, here is a man that speaks his mind and probably speaks what allot of us are thinking but too PC to say in public. He has his flaws but he is a successful business man and how could ANYONE vote for Crooked, Lying Hillary? What leader in the world would believe anything she tells them?

  • Trump University was not a university — the New York State Education Department filed a lawsuit against it for operating without a NYSED license. (Its name was changed to the “Trump Entrepreneur Initiative.”) Trump is now the defendant in two class-action lawsuits filed in California along with one filed in New York by Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who called the institution a “scam.” A New York court has refused Trump’s lawyers’ request to throw the case out. Now one California plaintiff, yoga instructor Tarla Makaeff, wants to withdraw from the suit, citing stress and health problems, but Trump’s lawyers won’t have it. Makaeff claims she was scammed out of $60,000. The New York lawsuit alone represents 5,000 victims, and there are more. Prospective students were lured by a free seminar, which was really the first part of a bait-and-switch scheme that led to attendees’ being pressured into increasingly expensive seminars, starting with a three-day, $1,495 seminar and culminating with a $35,000 “Gold Elite” program.
