Looking at about what has happened in past campaigns and elections no longer seems to be a reliable indicator of what will happen in future campaigns and elections - - if it were Hillary would be our president not Trump - - I also highly suspect that many on the left still haven't figured this out either that or they have convinced that Trump really didnt win and that 2020 will some prove this
So if Trump loses to Biden, does that prove past elections can still provide insight and that Trump didn't win in 2016?

If Trump wins the left won't accept it if he doesn't the right won't accept it. I'm still thankful that Hillary isn't in the Whitehouse.
If Trump loses it will put him in the one term club with Carter, that will be more damaging to him than impeachment.

lol, look a little more. I just googled Chris Matthews. CNN and FOX mention sexual harassment and a settlement case in 1999. NBC mentions Racist comments, sexist comments and sexual harassment and settlement in 1999. Sounds pretty negative.
Heck, if he was on FOX, he would be defended by a lot of it's regular viewers. I'll have to look, but I doubt too many people will defend Matthews.

The MSMBC story was as far as I got. As far as defending him I'll jump in. If it was things he said years ago that were settled already he should have stayed. I wasn't a fan of his show but it sounds like he's just one more casualty of the PC culture he endorsed.

I think he makes a very good point - seems as if no matter who ends up being the nominee a huge number of democrat party voters are going to feel very disenfranchised

I still remember a guy standing in front of me complaining that, "I have to get here the day the store gets ammo or it will be gone. Obama is making it so nobody can get ammo". His friend happily agreed. They each had about ten 50 round boxes of .22, .45, 9mm, 5.56/2.23, 7.62/308. They continued talking about how they hit several stores a day, a couple times a week. I just nodded, while thinking to myself, "Do the math moron, you and others like you are fulfilling your own prophecy. But yeah, it is Obama's fault(sarcasm), because if he wasn't President you idiots wouldn't be hoarding".

Some of her main talking points being discussed this week are how much she hates Bernie. "No one likes him, no one wants to work with him, this is why he's never accomplished anything." "His economic plan is baloney!"
We'll see if old Shrillary still swings a big bat with the lefty voters. Maybe she will have an impact on Super Tuesday. I'm certain that the DNC is hoping so!
