@WraithSS, yes it is a 10" Pioneer I had laying around. I was just seeing if it would fit. It does and can be boxed. There is more room in there than I thought.
No time at the moment, but I plan to build a box and mount one in there. I figure I could put a 2.5 or 3 inch port tube where the power outlet is above the cup holders. Obviously move the power outlet.

I like what you are thinking. Dynamat the different cover panels and you are good to go.
