@SlingRider you still could change them with a buddy this way they last double the time.
well I am rooming with @Painter, but I think that would be going just a little too far
We will have the Wicket Hitch installed and I think we use something like this (needs Mods) to carry our Luggage.
@mytoy not sure if you are serious or not, but I would worry about the weight distribution being too far back and make the front end a little light

I would have to agree - that is a lot of dead weight hanging on the back frame.
I have found in my many travels on motorcycles and the Slingshot that if you do not pack underwear you have a lot more room for event and dragon t-shirts.

I did't invent this, it is done already. Check out the video.
I sure ain't no expert but looks to me like the luggage rack would have a LOT more tongue weight than the trailer pulling the jet ski. @MACAWS I gotta defer to you and your much more informed opinion!!
I had the wrong video posted, check again this should answer you question.
I haven't looked real close at how that hitch is attached to the frame so my earlier comments were just a guess.
I haven't paid much attention since I don't have any need for a hitch.
But if it has been tested I stand corrected.
I guess as far as traction goes a little weight on that back wheel couldn't hurt.
One of the best lookin hitches I have seen - looks great to me - I like it
Here is another video where they tow a SS with a SS.
I agree that the wycked hitch is the best on the market, but I can believe that they are recommending that you tow that much weight. Seems like a recipe for a law suit down the road when there is an accident.
I am not an engineer, however, I would have to believe that the tongue weight on a trailer (properly balanced) would be less than the cargo carrier plus the down force of the wind scares me.
I am very curious to see what the "recommended " tow capacity is for the SS and tongue weight.

Here is a review from the slingshot only web page.
I'm not sure about the dead weight issue---scares me..
I have the
Polaris Slingshot Luggage Racks by Alpha PowerSport
These bags are just some that I have and
used to show.
Rack pop off and you don't even notice
the brackets.

WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS RIDE, BUT NO WAY I CAN LEAVE SLING OUTSIDE

I always carry my garage with me. Generally I carry the cockpit cover, does a good job keeping the elements out when parked. Don't trailer the Slingshot much
but I do have a Polaris Trailering Cover when I do trailer to Florida in the winter, it can also be use to cover when parked.
