Oh stop it, I was being aggrevating @larry. Steve and I both have kept odd hours ever since ....?? And the word "plan" is a foreign language to both of us. We ALWAYS just have to wing it when it comes to leisure time as we go. Inbox your number to Steve and myself and next time, we will send a message and yall can wing it as well. Will send you ours as well.

@airoutlaw your my hero!!!!! I have explained to a few officers that if you can't put your feet on the ground at a stop light IT IS ENCLOSED..... you don't have to have a top...... it is just like a side car.... if it has a footwell then you DO NOT NEED A HELMET!!!!
I have had all the troopers agree with my papers. And I have told them thanks for taking the time to actually read over them with me. I have a circuit judge who drives mine with his daughter in the passenger seat and they just wear the seat belts. (Harness)
He has told me the law is subjective and can be interpreted different ways... JUST AS CLEAR AS MUD!. I will continue to wear a baseball cap and keep my skid lid tucked in front of my seat. ...
I am so glad you spoke to him and you all came to a happy resolution... I always do my best to explain my point. And give my examples. And so far I am at 20,000 helmet free miles...

North Carolina, Georgia and Tenn. require HELMETS. In North Carolina some people are doing without the helmet but it is still required
SlingShot Helmet Laws for the States I will Drive Through to Maggie Valley

New North Carolina Autocycle Law
You do cross over into Tennessee and we got a warning to wear em inTennessee. THE LAW
-
When I got pulled over by the State Trooper last Friday, I was just wearing a white hat... Given other circumstances, I'm sure I would've received a $25 ticket. I consider myself lucky ~> never gotten a warning from a State Trooper before (especially when I was 30+ while crossing a double-yellow).
*not something I'm destined to repeat...

we ALWAYS wear helmets in tenn... previous two posts are links to different state laws
-
Thanks for the info.. Im packing an extra brick in the slingshot
We ALL make mistakes driving.. my head, my brain, my problem. I do not purposely put others at risk for a "good time". Although we ALL make mistakes and miscalculations while driving.
@airoutlaw has an untarnished history.. he has NEVER had a ticket in his entire life...

No helmet required in ALABAMA...
here is the law... WEAR THE SEATBELT>>>>>
-
We keep those papers in the slingshot... so far its had a positive influence on 2 state troopers, and one deputy.
Its hard to argue the law with someone who has clearly researched their rights.
-
Here is a better one.... This one will let you ride in Tennessee and North Carolina as long as you have roll HOOPS!
-
Here it is without my red circle on it...
This is a pretty good sheet to laminate..

I dont think Im that brave Rab... OutofTowners are easy revenues...
Have you been pulled over in Tenn where the argument presented was sucessful? -
I haven't been "caught" in Tennessee.....
-
I haven't been "caught" in Tennessee.....
Good thing cause I don't think they practice "catch and release"...
-
Spent three days in Tennessee last year, never wore a helmet, no problems with any Patrols or LEO.
-
I'm kind of disappointed, not that I want to see you to get a ticket, but a little taser deployment would have been enjoyable to read about.
