The heat index just hit 111 here in Southeast Missouri. Dew point is 80. Wow you can hardly breathe outside today.
It is horrible. I feel so sorry for anyone working out in this and the outside animals.

We recent broke out of the triple digit heat index here. WOW, what a relief! For those experiencing those type of readings, take care to hydrate, seek lots of shade,...or just stay the heck inside!!!! Am I a wimp because I prefer air-conditioning over heat exhaustion!?!?!?!

Yes. Drink lots of beer!!!
Did someone say BEER!?!?!?!?
Gotta' make sure they're ICE cold!!!!
not to be Debbie Downer, but:
Alcohol is a diuretic--meaning that it promotes dehydration--and interferes with your body's ability to regulate its own temperature.
When that hot- stay with ice water, at least until you can get out of the heat for the day!
Ride safe, everyone!
ok Tripod ... ready for the hail of bullets!

Actually, I agree completely. As much as I joke about it, I actually drink very little alcohol. Living in the desert southwest, I drink mostly water & I ALWAYS have my trusty RTIC tumbler with me at all times. Of course I still have to have my morning coffee...

Yeah, you're right, being in the AC is better and safer for you.
I'll be by in the morning to pick up your non-air conditioned Sling. It'll be safer for you to drive your cage.

NAW!! I can make sacrifices when it comes to the Sling. Besides, riding naked in the cage to cool off is just not as fun!!!!!!!

I drive for UPS. Whatever it is outside add 20 or so degrees in the back of the truck. Its like being in a dryer full of pillows. Fiberglass top aluminum sides and shelves. We have had drivers get burns on there arms because the metal shelves get so hot. Its been a brutal summer around here. Yesterday I drank 8 Gatorade's and about 10 bottles of water.
Know the feeling ....this was over a year ago and I'm still tanned.

Plus, I assume, the seats are not as easy to wipe down as the Sling....

Its not quite that hot. But sometimes it feels like it.
The sad part is they probley put out the fire and made the driver finish out the day.
Someone must've shipped an OEM Polaris Slingshot muffler...
