I have been kind of giving the Paramount Plastics hood vent the eye but am curious if anybody has purchased it if it is as glossy as the pictures make it look, (thinking it will not match very well the textured finish of our 2015?)

I have it on the Sling I and Sling II. It is the same color as the tub. The other thing is it does you no good for ventilation unless you have removed the front fenders

The 2015 did not come with a radiator shroud, would that make any difference?

Fair question where I was thinking if this was actually somewhat functional, (allowing heat to dissipate in the summer, and maybe even directing some heat under the Madstad windshield during cooler rides?), I could justify the purchase. But with the help of the kind folks here I believe that that urge has now passed!

I purchased it and what a difference in heat!!! OMG! This should have been stock on the Sling Shot!!!! Polaris screwed up again. It looks good and actually works fantastic. It's NOT a perfect fit though. Real close but I noticed the front point bends up slightly. Yeah I wasnt happy with this, but its real small issue and the extra heat loss is well worth the price IMO. I have it on my 2016 SL. Yes its smooth surface compared to the textured black on the hood, but I dont care. Its' about the heat release and this it does well! major difference to inside cockpit area and surrounding plastic shroud of stereo area.
Polaris! You really should have made your like this from the beginning!

Now that you have the hood vent, all you need is the double bubble windshields and you will be totally happy.
Add to that some ventisit seat cushions and the hottest days become bearable.

We were one of the first to purchase the Ventist seat cushions, they are around here someplace where they fit so poorly to the bottom cushions of our 2015, I wearied of squirming around to keep them comfy in place and ultimately removed them. Sad, for they are not exactly cheap!
