What kind of headlights did you use? Do they provide more usable light down the road?
I'm looking for more light for night rides. I started developing a template to hopefully mount two sets of Hella 90mm Headlights (one each High and Low Beams on each side), but I haven't worked on it for a while. Based on the headlights that were on my motorcycles, it seems the larger the headlight, the more light goes down the road. I'm hoping running 6 Hella 90mm lights will provide more light, but I guess I won't know until I get some more work done.

they did not hold up for price....So took a chance on these and will be honest with you was more for looks ..
But Sling has not left garage in over 2 1/2 yrs and being a 2016 with old Alpha Turbo with only 5,000 miles on it.
And own a Vanderhall Carmel with roof and we will drive it more in hot summer than I would Sling..
The Slingshot will be my hotrod driver for going out and having a blast without wife being tossed side to side...LOL
And being 71 I will not be riding at night time but have lights just in case...I will let you know in a month how well they do light the road..
I even thought about putting the old Center High beam lights in the grille opening and will see how these new lights work for my driving.
And to those of you who say you wish you had my skills...LOL At times I wish I did not have it....And I was over my head at times
with this build and just trying to get the lines close from side to side...I am very pleased with it but like any build you see faults
and wish you would have done something different..Thank You again for your kind words

And I was sick for the last 2 summers and could not work on Sling..
And this summer is brutal with humidity and heat yikes this 71 yr old
has had enough..
Will finish interior in fall when cooler LOL...
But wanted to share the new sling with some of you who
did following my changes through the years..
This will be my last body on the Sling.

I actually like those round headlights. I found 7" round motorcycle headlights probably produced the best down-road light output. I now run the MadStad Ultimate Slingshot bumper, so I would need to check clearance if I were to consider replacing the outer headlights with 7" units in combination with the stock 2015 Hella center headlights.

But I wanted a smooth SS with No sharp edges..
I almost was going to keep the wing on back but I just could not do that with design..LOL
harleyujoe - not sure you can answer this, but I am curious if you tracked the weight of the changes you made? I would love to know if with your body you managed to reduce weight by any substantial amount? I have always suspected that the material used to make the factory body was much heavier than what other options might have been. I have always been a fan of lightweight designs like many of the lotus vehicles that seem to perform much better than their HP alone would suggest due to their high power to weight ratio.

LOL,,,,,This probably weights a added 400 lbs with the heavy fiberglas and the doors added and the rear design with the full sides it has now..
The hood alone takes 2 people to lift and weights alone 125 I would think,,
Any Stock Slingshot would be lighter ...
But I wanted a look and weight was not my concern .
But funny you talk Lotus and I had two Evora's and it was fun but the Slingshot with turbo has same horsepower but half the weight and
the tracking width on Slingshot is 9 inches wider and the 1500 lbs lighter than Evora and going into a corner with updated suspension and the Big Brake
kit would blow Evora away in every way but riding in rain and straight line off line take off..
harleyujoe I have a great idea---just a little evening work for you... Do you have pictures from the day the Slingshot came home until to day. That would be a GREAT layout for the newer guys (and some of us old farts).
