Hi I have a 2021 SS s base model, I just acquired the front OEM Stage 2 pods and the Stage 3 rear hoop pods. I will be installing the Sony XAV7000 head unit and I was thinking of replacing the oem speakers with some else. My question is how do you open these OEM front pods?

I don't have a 2021 only a 2020. Once you remove the pod from the Slingshot, there are a bunch of screws on the back of the pod that need to come out to remove the stock speaker... On my model anyways....

Thanks Billy for the response, yes I took out all of the screws on the back but the pod would not com apart. Is it glue or something?

Lwarnell01 I have a 2016 but my guess is that if it won't separate at all, you may have missed one or more screws. Check the front and sides as well (use a flashlight to look into the holes and recesses). If not, it might be a sticky seal. I seem to remember a rubber seal in a groove on mine.

I am thinking that if you are sure you have all the screws out of the pod, I would use a screwdriver or similar tool for removing push pins and at the bottom of the pod I would try to insert it between the halves of the pod to try to start it to open. It should come apart fairly easy once you get it started.
