So for the first time in what seems like forever finally going to get a chance to set off some fireworks for the 4th. I will say, maybe it's the addition of places like YouTube but things seem to have advanced since my day of run out in the yard, light one, run back rinse and repeat. Gonna try some new to me technology and techniques. Anybody else enjoying blowing things up for the 4th? Seeing if anyone has any interesting traditions or over the top backyard setups.
Any pyros want to blow this thread up?!

Have you tried asking BIGDOG if he would help you? Maybe he could hold a few different types of explosives while you lit the fuses and ran. A third person could time the display to see how long it took before silence was resumed and life was back to pre-dog days

My Lab is not looking forward to the noise. it doesn't scare her but she need to bark at every bang. That and running to the front fence to do the barking. She is getting to old for that.

I agree. I do feel there are alot of people that don't take pets in to consideration. Our German shepherd has always done really good but same as yours she's an old lady now, vision and hearing seem to be going and not much running anymore. Her bed will be far away from the noise if needed.

I am going to lobby for silent fire works. Visual is enough. It is not so bad having to put up with it on the 4th as that is expected but down here in FL they start days early and shoot them for a week afterwards. It is not just the 4th either. It's every holiday plus Bubba's birthday. Maybe ear plugs for Zoe this year.
