I think i remember seeing that the stock lug catches the black part on the stock lug.
And the new lug catches the same black area.
That look close enough to me- funny that was my next test - just had to find the Caliper.

Oh, no, I got that. I've just been waiting for an excuse to use that meme for a while now. It just seemed to fit nicely. No angst inferred or implied.

@Tripod needs lots of discipline. Here he is in one of his favorite discipline suits.

@KayTwo - @Mr. Clean has that user name for a reason. He is constantly disciplined by his lovely wife who rules the roost. He has to constantly clean the house & whatever else she deems necessary. He takes his frustration out on me. Here he is on a short, wife-authorized break from his incessant duties...
Nope, it is still all nuts, just different applications.

If Tripod says it's safe, then you better believe him. He's an expert in this field. Why he's had his nuts off more times since he's owned his slingshot, than any other 12 month period in his life
I am not sure which is why I posted the question.I have stock base rims and so far everyone else I have seen either had the SL rims or aftermarket - so it is possible it could be a difference in the rim.
I would wait see if anyone else has comments -
Running base rime here and no issues. Here is a side by side comparison. same length as stock.

Can't be to careful especially when it come to your nuts.
I have my old nuts in a nut sack. My old nuts were black. My new nuts are chrome & require a special tool to operate. My new nuts are beautiful. Just thought I'd share that...
