Ride command question

welcome aboard @Whitec1001 - looking forward to photos of your ride and adventures
I don't have ride command in ours nor did I look at the owners manual for the 2018 but I'm sure someone who has it will chime in soon

Watching!
We also have the RC on our 18' but have not researched the ability to program the gps in motion.
-
I had a Gold Wing with factory GPS and you could not program it on the move. Polaris may have thought the same for a safety factor.

I'm sure they did but there should be some work around so the passenger could program it.

I am hoping for the same thing. Sucks having to stop when my girlfriend could type it while riding.

I had the factory GPS in my Harley, and in my Ram.....They can't be programmed while in motion....
And its for your safety......
IE: Some dipstick is reprograming their GPS while rolling down the road in their F 350 right behind you in your S/S.....And you stop for a red light...... -

Bump

It's out there. We just have to figure out which system polaris chose to use in our SS and then find the key.

try calling the dealer or Polaris?

Possible but I doubt it, they could be held liable if they gave you that information and then you or someone else were injured because of it.

if that is the answer then I would guess there is not a simple setting through the menu that you can enable or disable
-
Some of the one's that I've read about take a 12 step process to disable the motion lock. I can assure you the answer is out there but it likely won't show up on any menu's that you can normally get to without knowing a special "key" sequence to access it.
