Yep on the way back from SSITS15 I passed a cop doing over 110.
He pulled up next to me and threw his hands up like "What the hell are you doing?'
I did not even see him. Charlie was with me and gave the cop the "I don't know" shrug back. Then she asked me If I was going to slow down for the cop. About the time I asked her "What cop?" I saw blue lights. Cop was cool. He wrote the ticket for 90 in a 65 instead of 110 in a 65. Still over $700.
Georgia's 'Super Speeder Law' defines a Super Speeder as a driver convicted of speeding at 75 mph or more on a two-lane road or at 85 mph and above on any road or highway in the State of Georgia.
In addition to the fines and fees paid to the jurisdiction where the speeding offense took place, a $200 Super Speeder state fee is to be paid by the convicted driver. Failure to pay the Super Speeder fee within 120 days of official notice will result in the suspension of the offender’s license or driving privileges. Payment of a $50 reinstatement fee in addition to the $200 Super Speeder fee will then be required to reinstate their license or driving privileges.
Wow they hung it to you.I went to see the judge told him I plead guilty and told him I was a Nam vet ,he reduced through fine in half, but when I got my insurance bill it almost doubled, for 3 years.
^^^ OUCH! Can’t like that post, Bro!

Damn. Didn't know that. Definitely glad the Statie that bagged me at 85+ back in Nov was in a good mood...
Careful in Virginia. Over 80 is reckless. Easy to do where the speed limit is 70 or just quiet back roads.
Reckless can be as much as 1 year in jail (of which you will serve half), 6 months no license, 6 points, and a $2,500 fine. You are very likely to overnight in jail until you can post bail.
Never heard of anyone getting that for 81, but I do know a few that got tagged over 90 and they got their ass handed to them. Lots of cheese sandwiches and free tv... And, if you don't slow down fast enough, around here they will tag you with attempt to elude - which is a felony. That is a really bad deal.
If a Virginia LEO tickets you for 79 mph, thank him or her 100 times.
^^^ And, you’ll also get free sex!!!
