Have yall seen these trigger sets.

  • Punt gun, they were mounted on the bow of a boat and were used for commercial waterfowl hunting. Row out to the ducks, fire and then row back out to collect the ducks.

I have picture of my grandfather with this set up on the front of a pirogue. He told me they used to push pole up on a huge body of ducks on water (before they had been shot at thousands of times) — spook em and fire it when they jumped up. Would kill around a hundred ducks he said. They hunted to eat then - made a lot of duck gumbo :00008359::00008359::00008359:

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • Have yall noticed when they show the inside of the trigger it has a little piece of metal that makes the whole thing work. I would be pissed off if I spent money on this and it lasted 6 months and then the intricate parts started to fail. The tolerances on that trigger have to be almost non existent.

And I still cant believe that if they could ban a bump stock that this trigger wont be on the ban list long. However from the makers point of view, I can see how they really don't care if it gets banned. They just want to sell enough of them to get rich and then move on.

I don't even have an AR anymore. I have several pistols and shotguns and I am procuring ammo as fast as I can. I am on the lookout for 12 gauge XX buckshot today. If any of yall have a place online that has .380 or 9 or 357 or 12 gauge ammo at a fairly good price let me know.

I would love to watch that boat fly across the water backwards when they fired those guns.

The only ammo that I've seen that hasn't gone up in price through the roof is .50BMG which I've seen regularly at about $3/round and 7.62x39 (AK47) at .31/round. http://www.gunbroker.com I would stay away from. They seem to have everything but its all generally $1 or more per round for any calibur. Keep an eye on http://www.classicfirearms.com and http://www.preppergunshop.com Both places have been getting in ammo fairly regularly and while the pricing is a lot higher than what we are all used to seeing, they're not completely gouging like most places. I just picked up a case of 9 and a case of 556 green tips for $1350 shipped. It was painful but those were the best deals I've seen in months.

I did the same thing a couple of months ago, 2,500 rounds of 5.56 and 2,500 rounds of 7.62x39 They were both around $650/$700 per thousand.

  • I reload 10 different calibers but primers have been non existence for nearly a year. My stock if getting very low.

I bought my son a reproduction black powder model 1858 Remington .44 for Christmas and haven't been able to find any percussion caps for it. He volunteers at the local Veteran's Museum and one of the old guys there hands him a small box of caps on Saturday afternoon and said they belonged to his dad.... Best guess they were over 50 years old since the company on the container went out of business over 40 years ago, but could be older since Cory is over 60 and his dad passed years ago. Took them out on Sunday afternoon and not a single misfire. With the shortage he was starting to look at "how to" videos on making black powder caps from coke cans and match scrapings... Felt safer with 50 year old caps vs trying to recreate homemade processes from the 1800s to make them ourselves.
