We have a billet hood hinge kit in stock you can install while you're at it that will allow you to open your hood nearly vertical. Our kit is superior to others on the market in the fact that we redesigned the top and bottom brackets to keep the angle geometry near enough to stock, that it doesn't require a hood assist shock to open the hood. Not sure where you are trying to get to in the front, but when we have Slingshots come in that do not have our hood extenders on them, we do the "poor man's" hood extension while working in the engine area. I just posted up some quick instructions on how to do it -
