I think we men - after many years of marriage - develop a extraordinary skill - we can actually tune out the frequency wave created by our spouses making us able to tune them out. Unfortunately they develop a hearing aid to defeat our evolution…

It happens. Slowly. My wife will tell me to get something, or do something, and I will agree, turn around and can't remember a word. I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse.

Me and math....
I vaguely remember that - all the time I spent just to pass the test in trigonometry, calculus, algebra just to forget it all after the final exam — and really never needed it again in my
chosen field😩😩

That is actually one of the few I remember... The actual answer is 5.
a2+b2=c2
A and b are the known values...
a2 is 4 x 4 or 16
b2 is 3 x 3 or 9
16+9 = c2 or 25
so c (or x in the equation) is the square of 25 or 5
Moving right along... in reality I have only used that a few times building something to make sure the length was correct for the slope on a deck roof or something like that... We also used it a bunch placing guide wires on telephone poles... anyway... back to the joke...
On a lighter note, I see Perry Mason using it every day on that old rerun... Should he go straight from his table to the evidence table and then to the witness stand or straight to the witness stand?

This is a quick way to measure for square when laying out any 90 degree corner. Measure 3 feet on one side and mark it, measure 4 feet on the other side and mark it. If the hypotenuse, the distance between the 2 marks, is 5 feet you are square.
