Corona Virus

  • I don't know how often you'll need it but I'm sure it won't continue to be free next time.

The challenge with any virus is that they eventually mutate, and the more hosts, the greater the possibility of a new mutation. Hence the several new strains that have cropped up over the past few months. Only widespread testing will tell if these new mutations are also impacted by our current vaccines. Some very early testing appears to show they are effective, but this is not yet 100% certain. Note that in the US we have two vaccines available today, but another from Johnson and Johnson is due out soon. This one doesn't require the cold storage temperatures, it is a single dose, and early feedback is that it may be more generally effective against these new strains.

It is possible that over time defense against future versions of Covid will be much like our annual flu shots. Fingers crossed.

  • Yeah, this quote from that story is particularly interesting:

"In a study of more than 43,000 people, the vaccine prevented 66% of moderate to severe cases of Covid-19, according to a company statement Friday. And it was particularly effective at stopping severe disease, preventing 85% of severe infections and 100% of hospitalizations and deaths."

So this means that of the people who receive the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and then are exposed to Covid, 34 out of 100 will get sick. And 19 of those who do get sick will have a moderate case, while 15 more will see a severe infection, but none will result in hospitalization or death? It sounds better than nothing, or even wearing a mask, but it's not ideal.

  • now you have the mark of the beast....and the paper to prove it.

  • The Pfizer vaccine has a serious side effect rate of 0.000003%... about 2.5 per million.

You are far more likely to choke to death eating a hotdog, and vastly more likely to die on your next Slingshot ride (May the Gods forefend!)

Covid survival rate without a vaccine is 99.7%......so how much does the vaccine improve that number....and from what I’ve heard the vaccines aren’t that good of a statistic...falling much lower.....at prevention.

  • First, condolences to your daughter's friend.

Second, it's a mixed bag with lots of variables unfortunately. Did they have both doses? Underlying health problems? Which variant now?

Think mother nature is trying to tell us something... And some think these are just USA problems and conspiracies... bored-squared

    the vaccine isn’t a vaccine for Covid..it’s for some other purpose.....and I don’t think it’s good....

what if we are being lied to....what if the much more deadly virus mutation really isn’t? Way too many questions and no reliable answers...and it comes down to this.....how much do you trust the deep state?

so does that sound like a real vaccine or just a shot of sugar water.....
