I switched to these side mirrors last year - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KM9139Q/. They also have a locknut under the rubber boot and stay in one place once positioned. I also added adjustable 3" convex mirrors that just fit the mirrors. Will try to remember to get a pic posted later.

yes - I would like to see what they look like installed.
I was actually looking at these the other day - with the MeanSling extensions they would probably be easy to bolt right on - aluminum motorcycle mirrors

FWIW: The 2019's come standard with convex (wide angle) mirrors on both sides.
Mine did not, they were flat and showed no extra view. Adding the slingmods convex ones did wonders.
So, curious if my dealer put on older ones, or they have different ones? The factory does not put the mirrors on, that's a dealers job. For two reasons, per the factory tour, they will get banged up when they are loaded into the shipping crates and two, weight, they are an "addon" and not required to be part of the weighing process.

Very interesting! I was unaware that these were not standard equipment. Ruby came with them, nothing in the specs indicated that they were an SLR exclusive.
I didn't imagine that Polaris would make different mirrors for different models!

You had me curious, so I went looking at parts numbers. Only the LH side is marked convex, and only in US. https://www.polarispartsmonste…/body-mirrors-all-options
That's for all three models for the 2019.
looking through the model years, in 2017, they changed part numbers on the RH one, but neither are marked Convex. Has a date of 10/26/2016 when they changed the part number.

The 2016 model is marked as not having convex on the LH side. https://www.polarispartsmonste…/body-mirrors-all-options

This is really odd. When I brought Ruby home, I was all set to order convex mirrors from Slingmods first thing... then I noticed both mirrors were marked:
"Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"
And yeah, I wouldn't ride without them!
-
Hmmm. My mirrors say "objects in mirrors are LOSING" It must be the difference between the RED ones and all the others

Must be a FL thing because I always see the Red Slings in my RearView
-
The only reason you are seeing the RED ones in your mirror has to be because they are LAPPING you. Just ask Gerald - he does it every time he' on the track

Well, per the parts list, it definitely wasn't on the passenger side, so if they put one on there, it's not a factory sling one.
Good for you, don't need a mod and can spend that money elsewhere

Sorry, it's taken me so long to get some pics of my mirrors posted. Since I ride at night, I don't usually think about pics until it's too late to get decent pics. Personally, I like these mirrors more than the factory mirrors. They certainly seem to vibrate less. The only thing I'd still like to do is to remove the convex mirrors and reinstall them at the outer edge of the motorcycle mirrors.

I hadn't realized my windshield and top frame were so dusty/dirty!

thank you

Anyone know if you can tighten the factory mirrors to keep them from vibrating and moving? My drivers side one will not stay in place. The weight of the convex addon probably doesn't help. If I found some after market mirrors that looked good, I'd probably replace them

I originally tried placing a star-lock-washer (tried both internal and external types), but over time the mirror still managed to work itself loose due to vibration. Since I switched to the motorcycle mirror I linked to above, my mirrors haven't moved. I believe someone (can't remember who or which forum) used some type of sandpaper or sanding material cut as a washer to provide friction between the mirrors and their mounting points.
-
I'm not referring to the mount to the frame and pivot, I'm referring to the interior mirror and adjustment you can inside of it.
-
My Bad! Thanks for the clarification.
-
BTW, sandpaper does work on the other mount

Were you the guy who posted a pic showing some drywall sanding mesh used as a friction interface?
-
Nope, someone mentioned using some fine grit sandpaper and I did, plus some better bolts than what came with my mirror extensions and my mirrors don't move there anymore. Just vibrating in the frame

I know you're aware of the fuel line option, but what size have you tried? I'm using a short piece of 1/4" with a slit down the length of it. Not a perfect fit but it's not visible unless you're looking for it.
