Broke my clock spring and thinking about using a momentary contact push-button switch mounted in the dash. I've found plenty of round push-button momentary contact switches, but they don't fit in the dash switch openings.
Anybody know of a momentary contact switch that fits int he dash switch locations?

I think someone said they sell the switches that do fit in the sling at home depot or lowes. If I remember some of those are momentary contact push-button switches. Worth checking out.

I also broke my clock spring and plan to mount a momentary switch for the horn, but will place mine just in front of the ignition switch on the steering column. BKL it is easy to get into with just 3 (I think) torx screws to remove underneath, there is plenty of space, and the horn wire is right there. That way I won't have to take up any of my dash real estate and it will be conveniently located.
I placed the switch for the digital guard dawg keyless ignition just behind the ignition and it was fairly simple to remove the lower cover and Dremel a rectangular hole for it. It's kind of hidden there and it's instinctive to reach up to that location to start and stop the engine.
Thanks for the link Orangeman , that is what I will use.
Edit: I guess I'll look local. I queued one up and they want $16.04 to ship a single $6.50 switch.

The Dorman 525-108 clock spring works if you change the connector. Same as a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
