I have 2 Samsung smart phones and have been trying to pair them to my SS but it won't "see them" They both say visible to other devices but they don't see the SS and the SS doesn't see them. A friend has an LG phone and it paired with it instantly. I've read several articles about issues with the SS pairing to Android phones. Any ideas for work arounds?

Okay, look in the owners manual for a 2018...

I have a SamsungGalaxy 8+ and an 18SLR
No issue pairing it up with Ride Command.
Just turned on BT on phone and paired.
I don't recall if it asked for a code or not.Good Luck

You are probably correct. As bad as I hate to admit it I haven't tried to pair either of my phones to the SS yet. I need to do that the next chance I get. I have a android personal phone and an i-phone for my company phone. Since I don't have my SS here at the house it will be tomorrow some time before I can try it. Hopefully someone else will chime in sooner that already has experience with it.

Yep, I have the new touch screen ride command. Everything is supposed to be automatic and it was for the LG phone. Mine has the USB connection in the glove box so I'll just charge the old ipod that has over 800 songs loaded on it. I only wanted to pair the phone so I could hear it ring as I usually have the stereo quite loud.

Well that gives me some hope. I know it's the phone, not the SS. I'll keep playing with it.

Could be you need to "forget" the LG phone? Maybe only allows one phone at a time? Just making a guess...

Believe @MiM is correct, you have to remove first paired phone to add another. on the 2017 It seems to be a 2 channel bluetooth, but only 1 for phone and 1 for helmet, at least in my playing with it.

Only thing the mechanics manual says is press and hold the bluetooth button. Nothing more... or I couldn't find it. I should be hooking mine up in the next week or two. Working on these carbon fiber front fenders has been sucking my time up. Too many things in the hopper...

Had no issues pairing my iPhone to my SLR LE.

Hey, I'll save you a lot of time, don't charge the Old iPod???
They Do Not work with the New Ride Command Center??
You Must Have the Latest version of iPod touch to connect to this Polaris system, For Some Unknown Reason???
Just transfer the songs from Old iPod to the Newest version of iPod touch and plug into the USB inside glove box??? -
What is the size of your music library? There was another thread about just putting the music on a USB stick and playing it directly from that...
-
Yep that will work!

I use my Amazon music account so bluetooth is best for me.

Does that require cell service while you are listening?
-
Yep.. but does not eat a lot of data.

That might work where you live an I'm glad for you but where I live and roam the only time you have cell signal is when your in town or on top of a hill. I'd venture to say when I'm out riding I might have cell service 25% of the time. I've either got to pick up a station or go with some kind of canned music.
