I have a SamsungGalaxy 8+ and an 18SLR
No issue pairing it up with Ride Command.
Just turned on BT on phone and paired.
I don't recall if it asked for a code or not.

Well that gives me some hope. I know it's the phone, not the SS. I'll keep playing with it.
Yep, I have the new touch screen ride command. Everything is supposed to be automatic and it was for the LG phone. Mine has the USB connection in the glove box so I'll just charge the old ipod that has over 800 songs loaded on it. I only wanted to pair the phone so I could hear it ring as I usually have the stereo quite loud.

I have 2 Samsung smart phones and have been trying to pair them to my SS but it won't "see them" They both say visible to other devices but they don't see the SS and the SS doesn't see them. A friend has an LG phone and it paired with it instantly. I've read several articles about issues with the SS pairing to Android phones. Any ideas for work arounds?
