So I installed my Alpha CAI on sunday. I took my time, reading the directions and watching the install video. Did everything like in said/showed. On Monday my husband was helping me install the after market steering wheel, so we pushed the SS back a little and I noticed a puddle on the garage floor that looked like coolant fluid. Can't find where it came from...looked all over. So any ideas? Want to make sure nothing in messed up....so please help.
Leak.....Alpha CAI

You didn't poke a hole in the radiator screwing in the new air box did you?

Not that I'm aware of. What would have poked the hole?
-
Oh, and puddle wasn't very big, and more so on the driver's side.

Well was it green? If it's green and tastes sweet it's antifreeze. You'll need to check around the radiator and the coolant hoses to find the leak.
-
As far as punching a hole in it that would be pretty hard. Cutting a hose or knocking one loose wouldn't be too hard though.

The antifreeze in the Slingshot is pink.

No, it was pinkish. It smelled sweet and was like a oily water. Didn't taste it...not my cup of tea.

Thank you. Thought I was safe with green!

Well in light of the new information that's for sure coolant. Next is to get a flashlight and find your leak.

I did, looked all over with the flashlight. Wasn't an active leak, so I couldn't see where it came from. It's like it leaked straight to the floor, didn't hit anything on the way down. I looked this morning also, and no puddle. It leaked, stopped, and left no other evidence.

Some people have had a problem with leaks around the stock hose clamps. Take a better look at the location of the leak before you move the SS the next time. Drivers side sounds like you might have moved the top radiator hose on the install of the CAI. Good Luck

You might need to run the engine too for pressure. It's probably a clamp.

Thanks, I kinda of thought that it may have been a hose when installing the CAI, but like I said, can't find any evidence of it besides on the floor. I'll look at the clamps more closely. I'm waiting on my exhaust still so it hasn't even been started for a couple weeks.

have to second the clamps. Mine did it within the first 500 miles. Took a large channel lock and just repositioned the clamp and problem went away. Mine was on the lower passenger side at the radiator.
