That's not 100% accurate. Also without a submarine slot in your seat the mounting method of yours isn't doing it's job to the full extent.
4 point Corbeau Harnesses, Sparco, Beard, Tanaka or PRP

With all the research I did on the Internet
( the Internet is never wrong)
A 4 point harness is not recommended at all
Due to possible submarining.
A 4 point can and will slide up and your beer belly and liver is not as strong as your pelvis
The crotch strap will prevent that.Sorry if I didn't ask clearly I understand the meaning of a 5 point, thanks.
I was wondering what you anchored that strap to ? -
Is someone here using a 5 Point Harness?

Nice work @Chiefgosling!!!

So, the 5th point is made to go almost vertically down to keep the lap belt down. That is why the seats have a special slot for them. This method will actually pull the lap belt away slightly. So, it will not do what it is supposed to do. You could still submarine a bit like that.

I guess you are right. But isn't it still better than just a 4 point?
I also agree with you that a 2" lap belt is better than a 3". -
Than one without a anti sub built in the shoulder, yes. But, there are a few manufacturers that have that now. Still a clean install you have got there sir. Good job.

Ok I am close to pulling the trigger on these from Summit Racing. Anyone have a better website pricing to buy these from?
My other question is I see the slots people cut in the plastic but what tools did you use to make a straight cut and what bolts are you mounting to on the bottom? I have Gen II PRP seats now.
-
The bottom bolts through the factory seatbelt locations using the factory hardware.
-
When I cut mine, I drilled 2 holes and connected the dots with a Dremel tool with a small cut off wheel.

I could do that also, did you tape over the paint and draw the opening then drill through the tape and cut it so you didn't chip the paint?
You have to take the entire rear deck off to install the top belts?

I am pretty sure those are exactly what I am running / 3" shoulder / 2" lap
Even my wife likes them
But the picture is to small to see for sure
I can post more pictures if you need them -

That is sexy. Did you remove the stock belts?
-
Thanks
Nope
Left them in place - installed the harness lap belts over the stock. I just figured if for any reason someone objected to the harness I could just slip into the stock belts. The stock belt are pretty well hidden behind the PRP seats -
