I saw that. If I get that, and I also get the new Scosche double din mount, does that mean when the battery dies on this thing I’m disassembling the dashboard to change a battery?

I don't know if this will help you but here is what I did
I ran out of places for switches and needed to operate more than 1 door
Found this mini remote and used some 3M tape to mount it to the side of the dash - works great
Lift master mini remoteGreat minds think alike.

If you put it under the radio ...yes when the battery needs changed you’ll have to remove it to get at the controller..
don’t forget if you install it...someone could open your garage if they figure out which switch to hit...it’s not controlled by the SS ingnition....it’s using the garage remote battery for power...so it will always be hot..
And it uses a momentary on switch

I made my own setup for my garage opener. I put a marine grade momentary switch in the dash that has a blue halo ring. I just took apart one of my old remotes and soldered wires to the switch. I drilled a hole just big enough to fit two wires through and ran to the momentary switch in the dash. For now, I just put the remote behind the radio, but I will be changing locations once I upgrade the radio. It works perfect and cost me $5 to make. Cheap ass ingenuity at it's finest. I don't have pics of the installation by step, but have a final pic of how it looks in the dash.

Isn’t the opener remote battery draining to power the switch light?

No, I ran separate power for the halo light. It's powered on ignition.

Otto switches work well. I bought the modoor 'generic' push button model, and drilled a 1/4" hole in the moddle of one of the blanks on the Sling dash. Couldn't see paying Modoor $30 for the special switch. Momentary push button works great, and if I really want to switch out to a rocker switch, I can very easy.
