Hey I heard that Florida was doing away with paper titles. Actually I heard there are a few other states that don' IE:::.... How would you walk up to your neighbor and buy his vehicle if there wasn't a title.... There is no way to prove you own anything!
In Manitoba, our vehicle registration doubles as the Transfer of Ownership Document. You simply fill out the back side of the registration and the purchaser presents it, with a bill of sale, when they go to register it for themselves.

That's exactly how it was in ME when I was a kid. Don't know if they do that anymore, though.
