I swear by speedbleeders and a needle nose grease gun fitting for the ujoint.
Buy the small grease gun and and install about a 6 inch extension and the needle tip from the auto parts store. with this you can grease with one hand after pulling a cup holder out. Brake bleed can be done by using three pieces of clear poly tubing and let gravity do it for you without pumping the brake pedal. It might take you 10 minutes or less this way to bleed. Also you will be changing the fluid a little at a time. Harbor Freight has most of what you need as long as you are not going into full time mechanic work.

Display MoreI'm looking to do more of my own maintenance on my Sling, after completely blowing through the 25k service. The 2 things I want to most tackle are brake bleeding and greasing the U joint.
In ordering tools for these 2 tasks (and any other you guys might recommend) is there any quality I should look for and/or avoid?
Basically I normally go to Amazon type in my search term, sort prices low to high and filter 4 stars and up.
Any other tools I should consider?

IIRC, the rear brake piston needs a special tool to rotate it as it is pushed back into the cylinder or it will get screwed up.

K & N PS-7000 I buy a few at a time, the last for around $4.75 each
Can't find the tool link. Just take the top to an auto store to find the right size socket. Then just use a ratchet with an extension to get at it.

What kind of lube do you use for the U joint? Polaris recommends something called molybdenum disulfide grease which seems to be hard to find.

Couldn't Polaris have used a u joint that didn't need greased? I put 350,000 miles on a car and never had to grease a u joint. Don't think I greased a u joint since the 60s.

I think the new ones 2018 above don't require greasing
I sure hope so because there is a fat chance mine will ever get greased.
