The sparco knob shifter spins on the shaft and I can’t see how to tighten it up. It won’t come off but I can’t tighten it up. Any ideas?

On the bottom of the Sparco shifter there is a collar that you can unscrew, once you unscrew it, there are 3 black set screws that you can tighten to hold it in place. The collar that loosens on the Sparco shifter is about the bottom 1/2" of the shifter. I do not have a Sparco knob here, but if you post a pic of your Sparco knob, I can point out to you which part loosens.

here’s what I got. I tried to take the whole shaft off but the set screw wouldn’t budge even with tapping it with a hammer. I don’t want to mess anything up since we’re. Leaving Friday for the Smokies. I tried to make a little video of the shift knob moving up and down on the shaft but it wouldn’t accept it.

Here ya go - This is the Sparco shift knob installed, you will see at the bottom of the shifter, there is a collar that says "Sparco" on it.
You can unscrew that collar like the picture below -
Here is another picture of it unscrewed -
Once that is unscrewed, you can see the small Allen head bolts that hold the shifter to the shaft. If you remove the bolts, you can slide the shifter off. If you need to just tighten them up, you can do that also, then screw the collar back into place -
Hope that helps, let me know if you need any further assistance with this.
