interesting! does it also enable launch control as I have heard some do? and how did you hook it up?

It does have launch control also. It’s wired into the ignition system through the coil packs and also an additional switch on the clutch pedal. The harness runs to a box that connects to my laptop via USB that allows me to set the rpm hold limit and how much to retard the timing.

If it works out well it sounds like something that might really appeal to our 1/2 mile crowd - unless of course you dont plan on sharing

Once I have it all dialed in with an informative install I’ll be sharing for sure. Friendly competition is good for the 1/2mi crowd.

Teslasling Unfortunately, I do not have any Slingshot specific instructions. I have 2 other electronic systems that I ended up wiring this into so my install would be very different from anyone else's. However, the WOT box does come with a wiring diagram of what wires need to go where. If you have a slingshot service manual, which if you don't, I believe someone has posted a download link to one here somewhere, you can look at the wiring schematic for the Slingshot and find the corresponding wires that you'll need in the harness and wire it in properly. What you'll need in addition to the kit is a momentary contact switch mounted to the top of the clutch pedal assembly so as soon as you push the clutch in it will activate the launch control as soon as you also hit WOT. The clutch switch on the slingshot will not work so you need to add this secondary switch. You can find them on amazon or at a radio shack, Lowe's, or Home Depot. I got mine from an appliance store next to ZZP that was for the lid of a washing machine so the machine knows when the lid is closed. I put the actual box behind the radio since I will never need to touch it and there is a ton of room back there. I then ran the USB cable from behind the radio into the glove box in case I need to make adjustments to it with my laptop. I have multiple USBs for tuning adjustment and for pulling data from gauges so I put all of them into a USB hub so I would only have 1 wire to hook into to access everything. They also have universal instructions that spell out the process a little more here https://sites.google.com/a/npc…ctions.pdf?attredirects=0 and also the wiring diagram for the universal clutch switch here https://sites.google.com/a/npc…tchKit.pdf?attredirects=0 as well as an overview here http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotbox/instructions

Okay... so I had to Google what the hell a WOT box was (I won't mention some of my awful guesses, either!)
As usual, I learn an awful lot hanging around here, and speaking as someone who finished 27th grade, that's sure saying something!
I LOVE this forum!

I'm trying to figure out why my red headlights are linked into this thread.... Lol. Kyle D what up with my headlight link ?

I bought a WOT box once and never got around to installing it. I had the blue box that you see on the web frequently.
I had Kyle's tuner guy setup my HAltech Anti-Flag when we were at Indy last time. If you think these little ecotec engines can't make big noises you have never heard antilag. It shoots flames and pops like a big block running alcohol. I still have it in my tune. I just need a free input to kick it on. Which I do have now. I just need to wire it up.....

Not sure where that link is. The links I posted were to the manufacturer website for the WOT Box install instructions?

Hello Dave,
So you just need to splice into coil #1 c pin and slice in to all 4 coil power d pins?
Coil Signal is Pin "C"

Hello Dave,
Thank you for helping out on this
So based on diagram attached from N2MB
Red 16 AWG wire to a fuse
Black wire 16 AWG to splice D pin on all coils - Do you know the best way to get one wire spliced into 4 wires?
BLUE WIRE accelerator position sensor to Throttle body pin #5 TPS +5V REFERENCE OR TPS 1 SIGNAL (CONTI TB TPS 2)
Green wire / Cruise Control Clutch switch - to Momentary switch installed on clutch pedal?
Ignition/ fuel injector control signal to INJ JUMPER OR ? PAGE 6 OF DIAGRAM
Coil Signal is Pin "C"
If you were installing the wot box where would you splice in on the diagram to get coil signal?

Hello Kyle,
If you were installing the wot box where would you splice in on the diagram to get coil signal?
Like Dave said you only need to pull 1 signal wire (Pin C) for your RPM signal. You'll need to pull power from all 4 coils (Pin D) so when the WOT box cuts power to the coils it cuts power to all of them. My WOT box is behind my radio so I tapped in as close to there as I could.
All 4 of the power wires come together in the harness. It's still 4 wires but at a point in the harness they all come side by side. Cut all 4 wires. Take the 4 coming from the PCM, twist them together and solder them all together to the red wire going into the WOT box. Take the other 4 wires going towards the coils, twist them all together and solder them all together to the black wire that is for coil power. That is now the circuit the WOT box will shut down when it cuts ignition. Make sure you heat shrink all of your connections.
The blue wire will get tapped into your TPS sensor
The green wire will go to the momentary contact switch will will also need a 5v or 12v reference signal from a location of your choice.
The yellow wire is the one you tap into the control wire from the coil. If it is easier to tap into an injector you can do that also.
I also sent this to your email that we have been corresponding through as well.
