Yah, I blushed,... so dirty, notty,...
Was going to say spank me, but @Tripod would go wild with that!

Okay, when the gas was being pushed... And the thing went inside the thing... Did anyone else feel that was NSFW?
You are correcto mundo MiM.
And...I thought we weren't supposed to be doing any "insertion" stuff!
I'm always glad I can come here for information and a smile!
Ill have the machine with at Slingshots in the Rockies
If you want to, you can drive a little further South and leave that at my house. I'll be happy to take it to the Slingshot Invasion in Eureka Springs! I'll get it back to you after that

NSFW?? No Superchargers For Women?
So, @Turbosling, using your 'seat of the pants' Dyno ..... Your preference.....
Alpha Turbo vs Alpha Supercharger
Which puts the biggest smile on your face?
Now that I have driven both here is my honest opinion. Centrifugal superchargers power is linear and makes peak Hp at the high end. Twisty roads and Auto X I like the supercharger. Light to light drag racing, long road course turbo. The turbo has more TQ down low and mid range.
The two are very different and the sounds they make are very different as well as how power is delivered. If you wan ta decent bump in Hp and a easy install i'd say go supercharger. If you will want more and more HP as time passes a turbo is your friend.
Supercharger:
- Easy install
- less parts
- Linear hp delivery
Turbo:
- Longer install
- Easier to up boost
- Cheaper to make more/ big power

I plan on winning the Alpha turbo in the Slingshot Roadsters charity raffle so I don't have to pay attention to which option is better lol .... but if I happen to not win I've bookmarked this thread and given kids a better fighting chance against pediatric brain tumors - I guess that's a win even without the turbo but I'd sure like to win it

Thank you @Ross
Local customer just stopped by for a quick install. Sent him out on the supercharged sling. Lets see what he think of it

I'm the lucky one
I wish I could say I had a full detailed report after hours/days behind the wheel of how most of us would plan to drive a sling with a power adder but I was having too much fun just being out for a drive to pay attention to all the details. Having driven the Alpha turbo and now the supercharged version I must say Henry hit the nail on the head with his review a few posts back. The SC power was indeed very linear, smooth and was easy to drive where the turbo kinda slaps you in the face (in a fun exciting way) when the boost comes on. As it stands now, I'll be going supercharged with mine and think it'll give me the overall power increase that I'm seeking and the slingshot desperately needs. As a bonus to the extra power, you get the great "whoosh" sound I was making in my head the whole time driving back home in my stock sling.
*I'll be sure to give my more in depth thoughts when I can beat the snot out of my own supercharged slingshot complete with pictures of smoke and questions about tire upgrades.
Thanks again to the Alpha crew for giving me a moment to play with this latest toy! Having been to the shop a few times now(or even with phone calls/email) I have always been left with that comfortable feeling you get dealing with talented, helpful and friendly people.
Lucky Dog!
Lucky Dog!
For sure! Keep treating me this way and they may find me hanging around a lot more. I'll know I've worn out my welcome when Henry hands me a broom instead of keys.
I'll come sweep while mine is being installed, I don't mind at all
That sounds like you had an awesome day with the supercharger.
lil teasers on some new powder we are switching to. The candy red is more intense and more translucent the super chrome although its a powder is shinny like real chrome
^^^^Is this new candy red a close enough match to the old color? Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I need to go with a custom color.....hmmmmm?
