A little more of the house

It's got a wraparound porch on three sides and even a nice place for the sling to sleep

Got a great deal by reserving it back in the winter when things were still shut down.

Hey guys, enjoy the day, enjoy your stay! Ride hard, party harder and appreciate the friendship!

Yeah, I'm a little envious but I'm celebrating my 34th wedding anniversary today so I got that.

Cheers to all my brothers and sisters. Represent! (And post pics)

Congratulations on 34 years... Hope you enjoyed at least a couple of them :00008172:

We enjoyed a little fellowship and dinner with av8ingtom and V-SHOT at Tom's campsite. Gotta thank Tom for being the ultimate host and cook

After dinner we stopped by and checked out Bill Martin and his new digs. He's got a sweet setup :!:

I'm with you MiM . I have to do Maggie at least once.

So, if you're serious about selling the Sling here's a scenario for you. At the appropriate time, advertise it for sale and it will sell sight unseen because of the sick paint Painter put on it and the gentle use. Offer it delivered to Maggie Valley that year only. Drive that Bad Boy out, enjoy the party, then buy a one way ticket home. I'm sure that with all the Tejas riders out there you can round up a posse for the trip out. Who knows, maybe I'll join you.

I saw Capt Van sell his sling and trailer as a package there and he wasn't even looking to sell

I have a neighbor on the mountain that built a beautiful modular home and finished the front yard with gravel... looks like a parking lot. Now I am just going for bigger rock than he has!

Looking good....Never did make it to the Flying Pig ranch, maybe I'll get to see this place in person .

Today's Slingshot mod was to turn down my QA1 shocks to -0-. One day this week, I will test to see if I can ride for 4 hours to be at a riding destination for the long weekend. I had to have emergency appendectomy Friday morning at 8am. Inflamed and enlarged, but not perforated or burst. Surgeon said I had up to 24 hours until that would have happened in his opinion. Procedure went well, should return to work in about a week with restrictions, to be lifted within 2 weeks after if all goes well.

Happy to have found it in time. For the most part, started at 7pm Wed, and had surgery Friday at 8am. Didn't make the connection of what it was until 6pm on Thursday evening.

Glad you're on the mend. Take care of yourself and get healed up for July!!!

My 1st ride of the year, I started with my shock settings at 0, and it was super soft and comfortable. However, I was dipping my splitter into the road on certain turns. Also, on hard braking, the rear end was lifting up. Under hard acceleration the rear end was hopping like a pogo stick.

Every ride, I turned them up one click (rebound only). When I got to 4, and went for a ride, it handled great. No dipping the splitter, and the rear end stays more level under hard braking. I rode out to a RC airport near me, got out, and upped the setting to 5. The parking lot was gravel, and when I was pulling out, I could tell right away that I didn't like it. The ride home was rougher, and I had hood rattles and such. But, I did take a really twisty road, and it handled awesome.

My shocks are only rebound adjustable. I see my shocks as a way to help control body movement, and in turn keep the wheels in contact with the ground.

I started out the same way and can tell you the sway bar change helped more than stiffening the shocks and you can back off the shocks to your desired settings.

It's time to start getting ready for the next adventure. I've got a house near Maggie valley rented for next week. I'll be there Sunday to Sunday. Hope to meet as many folks as I can. I'm anxious to see Bill Martin and his bride again and check out their new digs. Also looking forward to some cool mountain air... low 90s here today.

EjFord I won't be going anywhere in my Slingshot for a while. I was rear ended 5/20/21 on my way to visit my wife in the hospital. My dealer informed me that if the frame is bent it would have to be totaled. The sad part is it is a limited edition that cannot be replaced. I had just installed Paddle Shifters and had the Transmission re programed.

Can't like that post but glad you're ok.
