Wife and I spending the weekend riding around the Lincoln National Forrest at the aspen cash MC rally.
You are punching way above your weight class, man. Wife *and* machine. Congrats on the good life.

Other than @V-SHOT and @Cameron Roberts, is there anyone else on this forum from the Hampton Roads area? Give or take a half hour or so to reach up to Williamsburg and down to NE NC.
- Looks like a burka. I'm going to have to change that some day.
Put a few bullet holes in it. That's how we were taught to fix burkas.
Of course, in this case, you might want to take it off the ride, first.
Welcome to the home of the triply insane
You be safe and enjoy....
Go to the events section and look at Slingshot Booze & Blues - going to be a great event and it is not that very far away from you.We would love to have you join us
I did see that, one of the first things I looked at on the forum. Unfortunately, between the demands on my time from the Navy and two very Daddy-centric toddlers, I'm not going to make this one. I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for future events, though.
Congratulations!!!!! Be safe and enjoy.
Thanks! First hundred miles down, have to baby it (or so they say) for the first 500, plus my better half was riding along, so....yeah, we were safe-ish. But loads of fun regardless. I swear, I think I saw some people break their own necks trying to snap around for a look. And those are just the ones I saw...my wife saw a bunch more, and she was laughing all night.
Congrats!!! I just went to my dealership the other day and they had one of those Blue Slings outside. Really liked the blue in the sunlight.....the metal flake really sets it off!!!
Sitting in the cockpit, with the blue all around you, it really grows on you. And the blue accent lights on the floorboard at night are a nice touch.
@KayTwo congrats, glad you joined us. How did you find this forum?
Two places. Saw a reference to it on the dark side forum, and it's showing up in Google searches now.
Sahweeet @KayTwo if I didn't know any better I would swear that was the new "Kentucky Wildcats" Limited Edition
What's a wildcat? Can you eat 'em? LOL
Thanks for the welcome, y'all!
Hey, gang, been on the forum a week or so learning, and contributing a little (mostly questions and snarky comments), but I hadn't posted here yet. This is a great group, I'm really appreciative of the knowledge and cameradery. If any of you get down Hampton Roads way, be sure to let me know. Home cooked meal on us.
Anyway, I wanted to say hi, and show off what finally followed me home tonight. The wife and I have a babysitter, taking it out for the first hundred miles or so on the odometer. Looking forward to it.
But...but...being in the windstream is the essence of the ride!
No, but seriously, I'm 6'4" also, so I'm very curious to know how it works out for you. Look forward to hearing about it.
Okie Rider Just how close, do you need to be, to hear a Moose squall in Heat? I did not know OK. had moose.
I don't know if I would have called it a "squall"...it's more of a bellow....but either way, it's impressive as hell, and a little unnerving when you're on the ground with them, inside a hundred yards or so. LOL
I agree, if you have the opportunity to showcase your skills, and the money is worth the effort and tI'm for your skill and artwork, why not do it?
Are those Pelican cases mounted to the roof?
But I'm not sure what happened on the DS....someone from there wants you to make them some, and is willing to pay you?
The fronts235/35/R19 were $254 each
The rear
295/30/R20 was $346
I'm not sure whether to give that a "like" or "dislike." Jesus.
Just installed Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They stick like glue but are expensive.
Ballpark price?
The blue box will allow me to set a rpm limit with the clutch in. and then it will also allow me to shift without lifting the gas pedal. It stutters the ignition so it will unload the transmission
That sounds like the "launch" feature that Dodge is putting on the Challengers. WHICH my co-worker is too much of a pussy to try, but that's a different thread.
Cool, man. Video after install?
look up two posts for a video and description
I hit "submit" before that was there. But of course, you're The Moderator, so you just s-l-i-d-e that explanation in there ahead of me, and now I look like the jackhole.
Derf.
For the mechanically challenged like myself - again WTF???
Yeah - what @Bill Martin said.
Her map came in today. I'll be mailing to the sandbox tomorrow. I hope she puts a pin from every letter that she gets. The letters will last a lifetime.

This makes my heart full. What a great group. I've done 5 deployments on the water, and my wife did one on the ground in Iraq, and it's support like this that makes it bearable. From a vet who's been there, thanks.
On a fun note, if it hasn't been mentioned, check out http://www.minimus.biz. Great store, and they ship free to FPO/APO addresses, last I knew.
