I would like to know if anyone has the f4 windshield with the slingshade and if so how tall is it and do you have any pictures of it. Looking to install an f4 but don't know how tall to go.
F4 windshield with slingshade

Give Don Frank a call and talk to him...
Good man to work with. The wife and I had lunch
with him and wife Kim last week when we were in Florida.
He can answer your questions.
I'm just under 6ft and have a tinted f4 tinted 5+ I look
thru the windshield. 95,000+ miles on it and still in good shape.

Will do thanks for the information

I am 6’ 6” and have the F4 Customs +9. Love it. It took all the buffeting away and not too tall for me. Hear are some pics. You have to have the center post, but I mounted mine using 3m extra strong trim tape instead of pulling radios and things to add the inner attach plate.
-
Do you have pictures of that with your slingshade?

Do you have pictures of that with your slingshade?
No, but Don Frank from F4 Customs said it will fit. Based on how I sit in it, I believe him. I can do a measurement later and let you know. I think he said there is about an 1"-2" gap from the top of the windshield to the slingshade.
-
So the windshield is higher then the top?
-
I have the F4 +9 on mine as well, but I have the BulletSpeed top and it is a bit taller and in front of the top. Here is a picture of my setup.

thanks

How do you manage to see through those tall windshields when it is raining. I know there is RainX but I have never cared much for it. I seen a whipper installed. I want to buy a SlingShade this summer and a taller windshield would probably be next.

Whipper should be installed in passenger seat. Makes you drive faster to get her to the hotel...

Depending on what is available I have used Kleene Furniture polish or Lucas Slick Mist. This is coming from my airplane days. I used this stuff all the time and it really helped going through rain storms and prevents fogging. Beads up and roles off. Wipers will scratch the acrylic windshields with the grime collected while driving.

Hee hee, I believe you are referring to this thread:
Why we do not have a tall windshield
Only this morning at 19 degrees it was frost rather than just water................

So the windshield is higher then the top?
ok, I went to the shop and did a little measuring on the left puller of the sling shade. From the bottom front tip to the top of the opening for the windshield I measured 26”.
From where the bottom front tip fits into the mirror to the top of the windshield I measured 25.5”. Eye balling the rake of the windshield it looks like it will sit in front of the sling shade a little. That is good as it would allow the wind to flow over this slingshade.Again I would call Don Frank to verify. For me I’m not worried about it. :). I like running topless.

Topless. Oh my I see a Tripod post coming soon.
