That sounds about right for a base with stock wheels - I just did a quick check against mine

So I gotta be real old. When I read this thread title, I was like "wtf?". There's no way to adjust a coil (spark plug coil) until I realized he was talking shocks.
Thanks for making me feel real old! lol

I want at least that much from the bottom of the front lip to the road. Last year my right front tire went into a groove in the road made by an 80,000 pound tractor trailer and my black plastic screamed. Couple of other minor scrapes are on me.

Doc your not old your refined

ok Macaws, i changed from base wheels to the SL set up..18's and 20 in back with SL rims also...what would i be looking at then.? thanks

Did you change your rear shock clevis? They're different sizes on the base vs. SL models...
-
yes,,i have the sl clevis...
-
i was gonna leave FF alone at 5" and lower the rear about 1/2" to 5 1/2"?

Sorry bud I am not sure - Have no point of reference here. Just my base with stock wheels.

I'm running 5 1/2 rear and front passenger. 6 1/4 front driver side. The front sits more level when I'm in it
-
so your saying it drops 3/4" after you get in, making it same all around at 5 1/2? umm....interesting..thanks ///:)
-
Hell it's probably drops more than that with my fat ass. I haven't had anyone measure yet when I'm in it. It just seems like a good idea.
-
haha,,yeah i have same thought,,gettin my fat ass into the seat and usiing the rule to measure? maybe a selfie stick mirror to look under the sling as i sit in driver seat...yeah thats the ticket..lol

If you do not have issues with clearance I would suggest lowering it 2.5" from what they sit stock. It will put the right amount of camber on the tires and handle/perform better. The twitchy feeling at 60-80ish will also be gone.

Are you saying set the front to three inches? What would you set the back to?

Turn the front collars 8 full turns. leave the back as it is. Give me a call 715-600-2024 if you need help or have more questions. I will be more than happy to walk you through adjusting them.
