When you think about all of the rather insignificant things we cant do in life without an ID or perhaps even a license it seems rather odd that some think you should be able to help elect the most powerful people in the country without either .

Really, which is more important and likely to impact the lives of everyone around you, catching a fish or electing the president? Talking on a GMRS walkie talkie or electing your congressman?

I mean, I guess its okay if all we care about is electing the most popular people to office, but on the other hand its a really stupid approach if we want to elect the most qualified people

The way the so called debates are a farce. We need real discussion and real moderators with real time fact checkedrs to hold the candidates feet to the fire.

I'm old and getting tired. All I want is a person who truly has America patriotism in their heart and wants to do what is best for our country and it's citizens while following the constitution to a T. Don't care what party they are affiliated with. Hmmm, maybe that's what we have now but not what I'm looking for. I'm at the point of just not caring any longer. Seems fruitless....

When the only people who have the power to create term limits are the same people those limits will be applied to you can pretty much bet there will never be term limits.

We have allowed our politicians to make themselves into an all powerful elite class that truly believes they are above us and putting that genie back in the bottle is going to be close to impossible.

Seriously at this point I believe that if my children and grandchildren ever truly want to get this country back to where it has a government by and for the people they are going to have fight for it and I mean that literally. I also believe that it's going to be 100% up to them, this is not something my generation can do for them. We had our time and like it or not we got exactly the government that we allowed - - - now its their turn and I don't have to like their choices anymore than I have to like their music they are the ones who will have to live with it

If Biden does in fact run for office again in 2024 unless there is some dramatic shift in the economy that drastically changes the direction we have been on for the last 2 years I think Paul Ryan is 100% correct

Anyone Not Named Trump can beat Biden

The only question is will the Republican Party pick the one guy we already know more than half the country hates

As a side note if I don't get an option I really like I think I will write in Tulsi Gabbard

I'm not a politician and I really believe we do need controlled legal immigration for the benefit of the country and those looking for a better way of life. As long as it's controlled and not perceived as a political tool.

Living in California the electoral collage vote for the state will go to Biden anyway so I might as well vote for hotter!

So based on comments I read here not long ago, many in this forum stated they were pleasantly surprised by their voting experience, the name checks, etc. I did not read one person saying they walked in, uninhibited, sat down voted and left. Soooo, what the deal. It can't be great in person, but bad in a BS text.

You know bro, I agree with that statement... but when we look at it left/right... the left says the same thing... the R's fuck it up and the D's fix it... We really need to try to move away from this division and start fixing our country.

When Mexico uses a video of an American city as what can happen from drug abuse... we have greater problems than just one side fucks it up and the other fixes...I know there will be statement like that is a blue city but when one looks at all the numbers Nebraska (Omaha in particular) has some if not the highest rates of drug use in the country in all categories... not just pot.

I am truly a believer that both sides fuck things up and neither really tries to fix it. They fix what they think will help keep them in power. (As I have said before, I am an Independent, not a R or a D... there is good and bad on both sides)

If one gets time... scroll through this data... it is mind boggling how many people use drugs... it starts with pot, but goes through most of the drugs used...
