Would a 5 channel amp be best to drive a set of 4in, 6.5, and 6.5 coaxial speakers plus 4 tweeter and 2 subwoofers. Or should I add a separate mono amp just for the subs? The five channel amp is able to drive 950 watts . The hard choices of life
1 or 2 amps what would be the best choice

Depends on if you want to make your ears bleed and your bowels empty. Or your just trying to have a clean clear sound when driving at speed.

I like my bowels to vibrate so I have two amps.

I want my fillings to rattle when I'm in the sling. Did you upgrade the alternator and battery?
-
Yes, I added an extra Gel Battery in the passenger storage compartment. However It really isn't needed for the stereo. I just didn't want to have a dead battery. I run the second battery thru an isolator.
It also depends on what battery yours came with. The first Slingshots came with a larger capacity battery. The later models changed over to a smaller battery.
I run a JL400 4 channel and a JL 300 Mono amp. I have (2) 6.5" Rockford Speakers, (2) 4" Rockford Speakers (2) MB Quart tweeters (2) Memphis PR Tweeters and (2) JL 10" Subs

Here are some of the pictures.

That looks like a screaming system.
Here is what will be installed on mine. No going back after today . All Focal speakers , 2-10in subs in SSV pods, Ssv front pods with 6.5 component speaker with 1in tweeters, side pods will have 6.5 coaxial, and 4in components avive the side pods. All powered by Hertz 5 channel amp. If the system needs more power I will add a mono amp to power the subs. -
I like that head unit.... Just remember there is a ton of glare.... Look at my picture and you can see how much the screen is laying out just to be facing the occupants .
That is why i went with the tilt screen....

I'll be doing a second amp in a few days as well as adding a 10 inch sub. Looks like the Kenwood amplifiers I have are relatively low draw on power so it works out pretty well for me.
